360 brought lots of good and new games & franchises, lots of new multiplayer services, and lots of new platform features we take for granted today, like achievements.
In terms of innovation and advancements, nothing since has been even remotely close to being as innovative / moving the industry forward as far as the 360 did.
You must have had a different PS3 from the rest of us...
PS3 was constantly playing catch up in terms of features and functionality and many 3rd party games were better on XB360.
And this relates to gaming how?
Pretty disappointed that this is basically just a better screen - what happened to the Switch Pro with 4K visuals?
@bingbangbong I’m subbed at $180/yr but please do continue to push a false narrative that MS has 20m+ GP subs all paying a dollar 😂
@bingbangbong “ Microsoft paid big bucks to Sony to allow them to have it on GP.
Microsoft is so desperate to build their rental service that they pay big bucks to their competitor.”
You’re just showing that you have no idea how the industry works. Microsoft paid the publisher - the MLB - not Sony. Sony are just the developer, they get nothing from the game pass deal.
Nice try though.
“Talking about Day 1 releases that don't exist yet.”
MLB was day 1 on GP and $70 on PS5, not on PSNow.
That’s the comment.
“Ranking every game with Vin Diesel from terrible to bad”
Fixed the title for you.
Lol, as someone who plays on PS - no, just no. It’s not even close.
GP has big day 1 games and all MS exclusives. PSNow doesn’t enable me to play big games like Halo, FS, Psychonauts 2, Zenimax games day 1, heck it doesn’t even have MLB while GP does and that’s a Sony made game…
As gamers we should expect more from Sony with regards to PS Now and I won’t be truly satisfied until Sony has a true GP competitor.
Obviously there is a limit - Microsoft may have a lot of money, but it isn’t infinite.
Also not sure I’d call multiple versions of EA sports UFC “variety”.
So would I rather they remove old games to put in new ones? Yes. Most games are a play through once and it’s done experience. I wouldn’t stay subscribed if they didn’t keep adding new games.
I’d rather have Bloober do it than have no Silent Hill for another generation 🤷
Worrying would be giving it to another western combat focused studio.
SH will be in very capable hands with Bloober (if true).
A good amount of PS3 games had to be installed too - and console installs were not standard back then like they were with the PS4 and XB1 generation.
PS3 also launched at a crazy high price, had no proper in-game XMB for years, games performed worse than 360, some games didn’t even come to PS3 because of how hard development was.
All modern console OSes have become clunky and hard to use - it’s just because consoles do a lot more now than they did in the ...
Switch continues to rocket and will soon break many more milestones. Congrats to Nintendo and the team!
It had good exclusive software (especially later in the generation) but the console was a mess, let’s be honest.
Realistically out of PS1-5 it was the worst overall.
@MADGamer Nothing to do with insecure fans. They count each time a console passes a previous console as a milestone.
They will run the same article when PS5 and XSX pass PS3.
"after they've been on PS for so long"
Why would it matter if they came day 1? We can still choose to buy and play on PS5, the game being on PC does not lessen our experience or our ability to play elsewhere.
"You guys"
Sorry, are you trying to say I'm an Xbox fanboy? I play on PS, Xbox, Switch and occasionally PC (for certain genres, FPS and RTS mainly). PS5 is the only next-gen console I have currently.
<...
I'd rather have a Bloober Team SH game than the western combat focused garbage SH we've been given for the last few iterations.
@kneon Sure, PS3 was a great box for movie watchers - which is not me. Heck, I didn't even have a TV that supported HDMI until far into the generation.
Sony were constantly playing catch up in terms of actual gaming functionality on the box though (the things that matter), we didn't even get in-game XMB, party chat, trophies, etc. for ages. Lots of games performed worse too.
