Dang, this game looks amazing. I loved the first, so pumped we're getting a sequel and it's out next month!

I wonder what length it is if they are comfortable letting the press show off almost 4 hours of gameplay a month out from launch.

Sony making an XSX version of MLB is a nothingburger. MLB dictates the terms of development and which platforms The Show comes to - not Sony - it's work for hire. If Sony had their way, there would likely be no MLB on Xbox, and definitely not on GamePass.

The reality is, when MS acquired DF, there were likely no next-gen versions in development, given the 2019 release date - and then MS forced them to do an XSX version.

My guess is MS didn't force them to can the PS5 version/not make one, but more so they forced them to make a Series X version.

This game was originally meant to release in July 2019 before being delayed. My guess is there were only last-gen versions in development at the point where MS bought Double Fine.

This^

That was the one part of the game where I got frustrated. Recently replayed it and it’s still as tough as I recall.

Difficulty is an accessibility feature. Having lower difficulties makes the game more accessible.

Except it doesn’t because tens of millions of people will continue to buy unchanged annual sports games.

The above pics could be from anywhere, anytime or even be fake. You could work in a store and have taken these on a restock day before opening for example.

Still gonna need the store so I can call and confirm - and also see if they’ll ship.

Giving away the address of a target or bestbuy or whatever doesn’t give away anything about your personal address - the US is a massive country, even a county is huge - so that’s just an excuse, likely to cover up the ...

I guess that store never existed 🙄

@Aquafiniac So which store and which branch/location?

"It’s also series S, which it’s pretty easy to get"

Where? I've just checked Target, BB, Walmart, Amazon, Sams Club - all sold out.

I have never seen any Xbox Series console in my local stores, X or S. It's also been discussed a million times before on here, but stock isn't consistent like that. Someone in MI may walk into a store and see 5 PS5's and XSX's, doesn't mean stock is readily available everywhere like that. <...

Given the extreme shortages of the XSX, it’s impressive they managed to top the dollar sales, I congratulate them on that.

And the Switch has been dominating for a long time now - congrats to Nintendo, after the WiiU a lot of people (including myself) were really doubting them.

Interested to see how Switch OLED sells, given it’s controversial nature.

I’d agree with Deity - Switch is the only one dominating here.

Given the extreme shortages of the XSX, it’s impressive they managed to top the dollar sales. But still nothing compared to Switch which has been topping sales repeatedly for a while now

Also, it feels like you really needed to get this off your chest / deflect simply because the month was won by Nintendo and MS.

Doesn’t matter how big the batch was - if they sold enough to put MS at the top of dollar sales in the month, the demand is there.

It’s the opposite of Xbox One launch where people wouldn’t want one even if you paid them.

Unless it has Nintendo games like Mario and Zelda etc, I don't see why Nintendo should be worried.

This is pretty interesting - need to see how it shapes up - but I could see myself buying one of these for my Steam library on the go, and the dock to play on the TV without having to maintain a full PC.

I'll believe it when I see a slew of new IP coming out of Xbox studios.

I don't have anything against them making more Halo, Forza, Gears - they are good games, but that alone is not enough - there has to be new IP coming out of other parts of Xbox.

Ironically, the games we DO want sequels to, haven't had them, or we've had to beg for years (e.g. PD)

"Xbox Series X India restock dates are unknown"

Just India? The dates are also unknown here and getting one is basically impossible...

"Did TLOU2 have an invincibility toggle?"

Go turn on all of the accessibility options and try dying ;)

"Psychonauts 1 required you to run around, jump,"

That's some nice selective quoting right there, you even included the last comma. I mentioned that the first game requires 3 inputs at once at some points of the game to do effective combat/avoid dying - running, jumping and attacking/shooting.

And yet still the best looking game this year. Imagine how good it will look in the future with raytracing ;)

"Because its not, its a cheat not an accessibility option"

That's a blurry line. TLOU2 would let you:
- skip puzzles
- automatically navigate the map/perform jumps
- reduce damage
- disable most enemy AI
- be invisible to AI when prone
- slow down gun play
- have unlimited breath underwater
- highlight items and enemies in the world

And that's not even half of them....
