@badz149 I have a TV with VRR support, so it wouldn't really matter to me. PS5 lowers the resolution and texture quality to achieve 120hz, I'd rather have VRR + better visuals. But I play FPS on PC, so it's actually all irrelevant to me really.
@neutralgamer Oh I totally agree, most of those games are spectacular and I really enjoyed them (minus Bugsnax and Destruction).
But those games existing and being great doesn't mean WZ is bad or sh...
That’s an excellent idea. I may even upgrade if they did that - right now I’m not really interested at $349 when I already have a switch.
@infamousr
Isn’t clearly what you said? Here’s a direct quote from you above:
“You were one of the people who said AMD Fidelity FX wouldn't work on PS5 and spreads every other mis/disinformation about PS5. “
You said it, not me 🤷
It’s not my fault you chose to say things you couldn’t back up.
You messaged me? I have no messages from you and your account has been active for under a day.

I've read the entire article and no where do I see Richard say it was available from day 1 on PS5. Please show me where he says that?
Anyway, I have SDK access, it was not available day 1. And if it was, WZ would have been updated a long, long time ago, we would have many more boosted games, and developers would not have been complaining publicly about the lack of such API.

@infamousr Boost mode and sceKernelisProspero are two different things. Boost mode boosts the title without/with minimal developer involvement, similar to what MS does with it's boost.
sceKernelisProspero is the PS equivalent of ERA enhanced on Xbox and lets developers make their software aware of which platform it is running on - but both sceKernelisProspero and ERA enhanced require code changes / an update by the developer.
For example, boost works ...
@infamousr "I think the key part is Microsoft tried to make game boost out to be this special feature and even had Richard/DF and other sites say that PlayStation couldn't do it."
That was true at the time - sceKernel checks were added recently in response to the 'ERA enhanced' system on Xbox.
@Jin_Sakai Better experience is subjective - it depends on whether you prefer visuals or perf.
I'd rather start playing...
Well that article was clickbait.
Saving you a click: it’s just the preorder bonuses and adds no real content, so not really DLC.
You missed a key part: Xbox gamers have been enjoying 120hz for 8 months already…
This looks awesome - I would love another remake of RE1 in the RE engine, with an option to switch between RE2/3 remake style cam and RE7/Village first person mode.
Note to self: Never work for Amazon Game Studios. Not that you'd want to, because they don't even make anything good / at all.
Spinning what? My statements have remained consistent throughout this conversation.
Seriously, you're going to say PS3 wasn't overpriced? You're probably the only person who thinks that lol. It launched at $499 and $599... a year after 360 launched (at $299 and $399...) and with less features and a weak launch lineup. Nothing more has to be said.
PlayStations own executives disagree with you:

There's really no need to pretend the PS3 wasn't a mess - it was - it arrived a year late, it was grossly overpriced, a lot of games had poor ports for a lot of the gen, or didn't get ported at all, the console launched with many features missing compared to 360 - party chat, in-game XMB, trophies, to name but a few.
I was (and still am) a PS3 phat owner/early adopter, and I will happily admit it was a total mess compared to 360.
And that'...
Dark Souls 3 is a 5 year old game...
@fitofficial 2013 was referring to the console model, not the game release date. Blame Microsoft for giving consoles terrible names.
@knightedHollow Terrible take. That's not how console games work. PC games are unlocked (or can be unlocked) and allow players to tweak visual settings - console games do not, whatever it ships with is what you're stuck with.
So yes, it is quite new and exciting that they're able to do this by intercepting at the...
@IRetroUK The only one making up crap here is you.
PS3 wasn’t profitable until 2010, also being profitable per unit does not mean the hardware program is profitable. I can make $50 profit per box but if I spent 500 mil on R&D to make the thing, I’m in debt. Similarly MS eventually made profit per box on XB1 but have acknowledged that the entire HW program never turned a profit.
During the PS3 era, Sony went through a 5 year stretch without posting a p...
I’ll read the article for you I suppose 🤦♂️
60 on Pro was done with a developer patch to support the Pro.
FPS boost is done 100% without developer involvement - and this game had no X1X upgrade - so they’ve upgraded a 2013 XB1 game to run at 60fps with no code change.
It’s a very different industry and world today from 16 years ago. Nowadays we’re all accustomed to subscription models and those models typically prove more lucrative for companies so more and more companies (both in and out of gaming) report metrics like Sub numbers, MAU and ARPPU etc.
That being said, I would say 360 did win over PS3 - console sales aren’t everything (especially when you’re taking large losses per unit) - one company was severely struggling financially an...
ML is a key component of the future of games - but I'm not sure I'd say its the 'best feature' of the XSX. Lots of good features to choose from there.
"DirectML is the next DirectX 12."
Statements like this with no evidence or technical explanation just highlight how uneducated someone is.
I guess we'll have to trust the developer above over random internet guy who provides no data to backup his contradictory point.
@Father_Merrin
That TF comparison would only make sense if both versions of the game were both operating at the same resolution and quality.
