We have eaten well this year so far and shall continue to eat well in the coming months and year.
I’m enjoying everything MS, Nintendo & Sony have to offer - and my PC is the icing on top.
Okay no more food innuendos.
“for the xbox is just forza and Halo for the next couple of months”
You mean we are getting a Halo and Forza in a ~1 month period? That sounds like a crazy strong month. Unbelievably good.
What big Sony titles are coming out on PS5 in the next couple of months? I’ll hold 📞
Historic behavior suggests it’s more likely to be a lack of.
TBH I don't think the digital was ever in stock, or was in very low stock to begin with compared to disc. I got in to the site from the queue in 4 minutes and it was already out of stock.
I don't think they're limiting PSN ID's though between drops, only in individual drops - I had a PS5 from PS Direct in the past and was able to buy again today.
But honestly, the next gen purchasing experience from both has been lackluster - these are sol...
It's a steal if you're a PC gamer - two great games in one bundle.
It's not a steal if you already own them on PS4 and are basically paying full/near full price for a next-gen upgrade.
I just nabbed another one (disc) in the PS Direct drop today. Either going in the bedroom or reselling (at MSRP+tax... I'm not a scalper)
“Apparently you've forgotten how launch years have looked like for the past 4 console generations.”
“will be the strongest first 2 years PlayStation has arguably ever had”
I disagree, with PS2 we had truly next gen exclusive games like Silent Hill 2 and MGS2 within around 12 months of launch, Atleast in NA/EU.
@mkis “You basically made it so that the only game anyone can mention is Psychonauts.”
I wouldnt say that...
@Darkborn It’s clearly coming to non-PS consoles or Sony would call it a “PS console exclusive” rather than a “PS console launch exclusive”.
Console launch exclusive = its coming to other consoles later.
Someone (or Microsoft) should make a simple adapter that goes into the expansion slot but let’s you insert a normal NVMe into the adapter.
Then consumers have the best of both worlds: off the shelf pricing AND ease of use AND hotswapping.
@outsider1624 I’d happily accept remakes or new entries (or both) for both MGS and SH.
So long as they aren’t pachinko machines or MG Survive…
Already preordered this.
It’s not a huge improvement over the 360 version it seems but I’ll happily replay it in 4k60 for $30.
Ah, the sign of someone who has lost an argument, got it.
If they announced Metal Gear + Silent Hill it would've been the best PS showcase to date, hands down.
Which goal post did I move? I referenced E3 as my timeline in my original post :)
The only goal post moving here is on your end since you've shifted us back almost a year to the console launch...
Anyway, they aren't immune to criticism. I like my PS5 and the console is great, does that mean I have to be blindly impressed today due to some form of brand loyalty? no - the presentation today was underwhelming.
@chinchilla
A few cross-gen titles, next-gen upgrades and a small handful of PS5 exclusives, all of which launched pre-E3 does not somehow exempt them from holding an E3 conference or having a better presentation today.
Were they? Which PS5 exclusives have launched since E3? I must've missed them.
"my preference is PC"
Reading comprehension isn't your strongest skill I guess.
Anyway, regardless of which platform you prefer, it doesn't change how lacking that presentation was after such a long wait.
It wasn’t enough given how many months we’ve had to wait for it and that we also had no E3.
Yep - my preference is PC :) but I play every console too.
It’s confirmed timed exclusive in a PlayStation blog post… and by the developer on Twitter (read the article)… it’s coming to other platforms.
Star Wars is too expensive of an IP to keep truly exclusive.
Flip side of this though is that we now know Disney is willing to sign timed exclusive deals for their biggest IPs, so Indiana Jones will likely be timed exclusive too.
