The replay part is kinda baffling... garage-only I could understand.
This feels like reducing the functionality of the game / screwing consumers because PD can't secure their game and/or Sony can't secure their platform.
Why is this only a problem in GT? I don't see save modification being done on other games, and modifying save data is pretty hard on modern consoles. And why does Forza not have this issue? smh.
I think you're correct. I recall PS1 and PS2 having bad lasers, heck you had to basically sit your PS1 upside down to get it to work after a while.
360 had the disk scratching issue when you moved it with the disk in.
Yeah... for every X consoles sold there will be Y unlucky people who get defective units :(
At least we have warranties... worse if it happens after a year.
It flickers green randomly (every ~1m or so) when playing games. A very bright green, but it doesn't cover the entire screen just part of it.
The PS menu also flickers but a lot less than when in-game. Just going to RMA it to Sony (it was bought from PS Direct).
I should also add I have another one bought at launch and it is still going strong, zero issues - so likely just a bad unit.
Obviously they weren't going to release something worse.
I just had a PS5 turn up yesterday though and it's dying already... but it is a 1015A not 1100.
The game runs fine here on PS5.
Haven’t tried the PC version but I have heard complaints.
Shrug, Bethesda and Arkane are both Zenimax so it’s all the same company at the end of the day.
Why do they have to counter it? Super hero games aren't THAT good, are being over done recently and are hardly make or break for a platform.
Hell yes! This is great news.
It's not impossible that B3 comes to PC...
Sega published B1 on non-Nintendo platforms including Windows.
B2 was published by Nintendo
B3 has Sega involved again... could just be for original IP rights though.
Even if these titles were speculation by Nvidia, they would need to have some reason to believe B3 may come to PC ;) Otherwise why not just list Mario etc in there too?
Follow the Twitter accounts like Wario64 & CheapAssGamer that tweet out PS Direct times and get it there, it's not that hard as long as you have your cell nearby and enter the site early on - I've managed to nab 3 in total now with the 3rd arriving tomorrow!
Aside from that, if you're in the states, Walmart MX has PS5 in-stock 24-7, but you'll pay a bit to get it here - far less than scalper prices though.
That makes a lot more sense then - thanks for the info!
"Devs are streaming these games during covid for dev builds"
I have never seen a game be streamed due to COVID. If a PC build exists, why would you not just run it locally on your PC rather than stream it?
Iteration times will be 10x faster locally also since you won't have to upload a build to Nvidia servers.
That being said, I don't think this leak is fake, it seems unlikely those titles were made for any purpose oth...
Ah I see, I didn't know what Shift Up is, just googled it.
Well anyway, to anyone still looking for a PS5 in the states, the above tips still apply.
Mhmm, sure they are speculative.
Tbh the two easiest ways (for the states) are PSDirect & WalmartMX.
PSDirect has drops weekly now and WalmartMX never goes out of stock (but you'll pay a bit of a surcharge for bringing it to the US, but still far less than paying a scalper).
Nice. I just nabbed a 3rd PS5 in the Direct drop last week, so I'll be showing up in the September sales again!
Third best August ever for the industry? The industry is going strong! Also wonder why there is a sudden surge of Elite 2 sales? It's pretty old at this point.
It's pretty nice to see the DS being supported natively on PC. I remember the old days where if you didn't want to use a 360 controller on PC, you had to install 3rd party sketchy software...
An online multiplayer game being online only is acceptable… racing against AI requiring internet is not.
And what has SoT got to do with Gran Turismo, Polyphony or PS anyway?
