They've since confirmed it is fully software - so no hardware skills / mod chip. So any hack would likely be delivered as a custom firmware you just install from USB, like on the PS3/4.
Well, in this case, describing it as a digital vs physical problem may not be too accurate.
If you already purchased it digitally, you'll still be able to download it and play any time - and if I want to go buy it digitally, I still can today, whereas I probably can't find a physical copy of it in Walmart or wherever.
To be honest, I’m surprised Konami are even considering re-listing this given how they’ve abandoned their franchises and fans.
Maybe temporarily will become permanently.

@kindlyemu How is the Starfield situation any different from Spider-Man on PC?
Starfield is coming to the publishers platform + PC. Spider-Man would be the same if it came to PC.
It’s not like anyone is asking or expecting Starfield to be on PS5 or Spider-Man to be on XSX.
If PlayStation is the persons hardware of choice, the game coming out on PC doesn’t stop someone from being able to buy and play the game on PS hardware.
...
So people are paying $99 outright or $45 if they’re already a game pass subscriber - and almost 1 million people.
Kinda crazy to hit 1 mil with only a premium SKU released. And yet people will keep saying GamePass is bad and no one buys games on Xbox anymore.
Yeah, I'd happily pay $10-15/mo for a subscription with the exclusives day 1. If it included Plus (even at $15/mo), even better.
Right now:
XB GamePass > PS Now
PS Plus > XBL Gold
PS Now has struggled to gain support unlike Game Pass, a few FF games isn't going to fix that.
As of today, GP is a much better service. I want to see Sony go full out on PS Now and make it worthwhile to subscribe, like Microsoft are doing.
The Series X version looks insanely good, but really, the impressive thing for me here is how good they managed to get this looking and running on Xbox One and Series S.
Facebook (or Meta) must pay good money for VR ports :P
It’s actually from November - the website is European so they use DD/MM instead of MM/DD.
The game looks great on all devices.
This is by far the best looking game of the generation so far.
I'm interested to see what they can do with Fable, both from a visual perspective but also gameplay wise since it'll be their first non-racing game.
Looking forward to checking this out, it looks fun and the visuals are very impressive.
I'm pretty excited to play through these again in order. It's funny because I was recently considering getting an emulator to replay 3 & VC and then this remaster landed out of nowhere.
LCS + VCS next, and then MP1-3 please!
Interestingly there is a lot less exclusive content than previous years. I wonder if Sony have finally stopped paying for what is effectively a 50/50 console market share on COD, like Microsoft did prior.
Imagine trying to increase the subs to your service via trials and promotional offers.
Netflix, PS+, PSNow, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube TV, Paramount plus etc never give out free trials or run promotional offers! /s
They do - it’s in the terms and conditions stating games may leave and enter the service. This is standard for content subscriptions like game pass, Netflix etc.
Now, will anyone actually care / still be playing this game in 4-5 years when we have a plethora of new, better looking next-gen only Forza games? Probably not many.
@iplay1up2 Forza Horizon would be FH, he said FM - Football Manager.
As for Forza, it’s been known for years that every MS game will be on game pass day 1.
They are worth 155bn dollars - they can afford to and should hire (more/better) security engineers.
