The games are great, but it really won't be the same without the iconic soundtracks.
Okay, so it's opinion - I thought you were saying it is a fact that Xbox gamers buy less games than PS/Switch/PC.
@IRetrouk Can you provide a reliable news source for the fact you can play legitimately online with a cracked copy and that you will show up in Microsoft's data as a legit player and legit purchase?
I've been looking around and have yet to find a cracked version that lets you play online, minus some sketchy virus ridden websites. Every cracked version appears to strip Xbox Live functionality.
p.s. I don't condone piracy, and please don't l...
@Magog Source on every one of the ~20m subscribers paying $1 or less?
I for one have an active PC Game Pass subscription and I pay full price.
Are we still pretending GamePass is bad? We as consumers should be praising it, I would LOVE for Sony to make a competing service I can use on my PS5.
800,000 paid extra*
Also, you do realize GamePass costs money, right?
And they deserve the extraordinary numbers they’re getting - the game looks phenomenal in terms of gameplay and visuals. Playground are a great studio.
The gameplay and visual improvements look good while not losing the feel of the original.
Looking forward to replaying the trilogy on modern hardware.
Most PC games are cracked day 1, what’s that got to do with the sales figures being shared?
The PC crack can work online with others with some… tinkering, but it uses Xliveless and Steam emulator, so you won’t be counting towards Microsoft’s sales numbers nor towards any Xbox live functionality like leaderboards.
There were over 1 million players before the game released, to get early access you had to either:
1. Have game pass + pay $45 for early access
OR
2. Pay $100 for the special edition
Crazy numbers. Well deserved though, the game looks excellent and I'm looking forward to jumping in properly this weekend.
It still blows my mind that over 1 million people were willing to pay $100 or $45 + GamePass subscription to play a few days early.
But Xbox gamers never buy games and GP is killing the industry, right?
Why are people even buying Vanguard? The beta was terrible and the gameplay is worse than the last two entries.
Just hold off for BF or Halo. Simply put, this year, Halo > BF > COD.
"Soon publishers will start questioning why no one on xbox buys games anymore"
Do you have a source for the fact that no one buys games on Xbox?
It was already pretty easy for me to get a PS5 at Walmart, now it's even easier with W+.
Pretty low of them, but W+ is a new service and needs subscribers I guess.
Yeah the reliability of modern consoles really is something compared to the past ones. My 2013 PS4 is still going as strong as day 1 - and I wouldn't say I've taken great care of my consoles.
Before PS4 and XB1, every console I've had post-SNES/Genesis has failed on me at least once.
360 is probably the console I had the most fun with post PS1/2. I still look back on it with fond memories of all the great games and new experiences on the console itself (OS and services).
Also seeing games in HD for the first time was insane.
That’s pretty silly of him given they were doing free repairs/replacements for years on end.
I had one RROD 360 and two YLOD PS3’s and never paid for any of them to be fixed/replaced.
Looking back at 360 and PS3 though, my god, modern games consoles (gen8+) are so much more reliable than they ever were.
He has a lot more patience than I do, that's for sure.
Seriously though, this game looks great visually, so much detail - can't wait to try it out.
It's the 04.03 firmware update from a few weeks ago, decrypted.
There is literally only ever bad news about Denuvo. Games unplayable due to outages or performance being severely limited.
@jonny897 Resorting to insults is the sign of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.
1. My beloved Microsoft? Where did I mention Microsoft? I play on PS5 and have no XSX. The only Microsoft 'platform' I actively game on is PC.
2. Where did I say bug bounty programs are a bad thing? They are not, and are standard nowadays.
The difference is XSX (and AFAIK XB1) were not hacked, where as Switch, PS4 and now PS5 have be...
@Chevalier Where did I say I speak for everyone?
It's obvious to anyone that the ~20m subscribers are not all trial users lol.
So are we now pretending that 1m pre-launch sales and ~5m unique players within 24 hours of launch is bad/low? That basically means 99% of games released this year performed poorly - every game Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo released did poorly.
