@Apocalypse He’s talking about it selling more than 20m - PC will help with that.
As for the rest of your comment, no idea what you’re even talking about. I never said Horizon wasn’t a success & MS also rely on PC as a platform, Nintendo don’t.
I said a reboot, not a remake. And I've seen nothing but excitement for and requests from people with regards to a potential Syphon Filter reboot.
That being said, I'm not opposed to a remake pack either - I'll take what I can get. Perhaps if the PS+ versions prove popular they will revisit Syphon Filter.
RIP. Thank you for your contributions to our hobby.
Retail numbers seem pretty good to me.
You are right through - the numbers reported here are lower than what they really are since it doesn't include every retailer nor Microsoft's own store/website.
Selling more/faster than last gen too, and keeping closer with PS consoles, so that's an improvement over last gens performance. You must be looking at the wrong numbers 🤷
@anast So you skip on State of Play, Ubi E3, Xbox show, Nintendo Direct, PC gaming show etc? Must be a pretty boring 'E3 season' for you.
Your loss. e.g. If you did that / waited for 'gameplay only' video edits for the recent State of Play, you would've missed out on key announcements such as Resident Evil 4.
I don't think I've ever seen someone say Xbox is more popular than PS?
Ultimately though, there is no 'go to console'. The go to console is the console with the games you are interested in. That could be Switch, it could be PS or it could be Xbox, or even PC.
We've known about RE4 for a while though, via the Capcom leaks.
So basically, FIFA 22 is coming to the service.
@CaptainHenry Eventually, especially now that it is bundled in with consoles. But PC will clearly accelerate it towards 20m, like it did for HZD.
Obviously the reason Sony are putting games on PC is that - more sales.
Thx, I try!
It's kinda in-between. It's priced $50 above the MSRP for the console, so you aren't getting it free, but you also aren't paying the full $80 for it.
"not gonna make any real difference."
That's over 10% of your 20m target right there, in 1.5 years. Sequel sales will likely be even higher.
New IP? How about a sequel to Days Gone and a reboot of Syphon Filter instead?
I fully expect HFW to break 20mil once it comes to PC. Anything less than its predecessor would be seen as a step backwards for the IP.
@Silly Darth shares this update every time regardless of which console sold more (which is 99% of the time the Switch btw). What does it matter? Is he only allowed to share numbers that you agree with?
@Aloy "The problem is darth always forget to include in his sales analysis a ''minor'' detail which is that the series S is almost all the time available"
How does that negate his comment? He posted how many units sold for each con...
Perhaps it will, perhaps it won't - the gap right now is far smaller than last gen.
Regardless, what difference does it make? People will still be playing great games on both like they are right now.
As are the Switch and Xbox. It's a great time for gamers - the industry is going strong!
It has never been game over in any generation for Sony or MS, nor will it be for either in this current generation.
Even after their worst periods (PS3 & XB1 launches), they are both still here and still selling millions.
Yeesh, trending towards 1 year and online coop is only entering beta with no sign of split screen either.
