Heck, not just multiplayer but we’re still paying for cloud saves that take up barely any space.
Sooner or later MP and saves will be free but the companies will drag it out and hold onto the current setup for as long as possible. Too much revenue at stake, revenue that is mostly profit.
Oh no, someone made a wiki page and they’re planning on making a community patch / mod, the game is doomed /s
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Bethesda games like ES are routinely better than most if not all games released in the same year. Starfield will be no different.
I got it heavily discounted via my bestbuy card rewards. I wouldn’t have sunk $60 into this based on the reviews, would’ve held off, Black Friday is right around the corner.
Yeah, I mean it's not unheard of for a games networked modes to be broken at launch :P so perhaps I'm being unfair on them.
I will revisit it though over time to be fair to it, same thing I did with CP2077 and I ended up loving it by the time they patched it for next gen.
I never played Her Story and I'm not sure this type of game is for me really, but I'm going to give this a go since it's on gamepass, so no cost/risk for me.
The reviews and Metacritic are very positive - in fact, it's now a metacritic 'must play' game.
Yeah this is the last 360 title, which tbh, Portal 2 is a good way to go out with a bang.
I'm pretty hyped for this, probably my most hyped game for 2023. If it's Skyrim in Space as intended, then I'm 100% in and will lose hundreds or thousands of hours of my life on this game plus all the mods.
Definitely, especially since it flipped exclusivity. I expect it to have a high professional metacritic score, and be absolutely bombed on the user score.
Well, my PC is metal not plastic. But it's great that people can still get Starfield on PC - This game is going to be huge, one of the biggest if not the biggest game of 2023 so the more who get to experience it the better.
Plus, Bethesda deserve to be rewarded for their hard work on this game and a sale is a sale, a sub is a sub - platform is irrelevant.
I don't know about w/ TV as I don't have a Samsung TV to try this out - but I have used both the DS4 and DualSense on PC xCloud.
If I had to guess, any gamepad that can connect to your TV via bluetooth would work.
Portal 2 is a great game - I also highly recommend checking out the coop if you haven't. The rest are meh (as always).
Is that you Don?

The difference now is when they say TV, they mean indie through AAA gaming on your TV - not "lets turn your games console into a cable TV guide".
I'd say Sony TVs are very likely to support this once they expand beyond Samsung - aren't Sony TV's typically Android OS? They'll definitely have an Android app.
I'd say the singleplayer is mostly fine for me (also on PS5) - some AI glitches, or weird warping of AI, but mostly OK.
But it completely fell apart when I turned on coop. Tons of issues within a 60m game session - not being able to see each other, spawning and being unable to do anything other than move, one time it even overwrote my character with my friends character.
As I wrote above though, I will come back and revisit it after patches - I don...
I have been playing it yeah - on PS5. It's not unplayable, but it just feels like a poor mans GTA5 to me with a less populated world etc. And it completely breaks when you turn on coop, so many bugs I've run into.
I'll probably revisit it in a few months after patches etc - saying it is terrible now doesn't mean it wont get better - I felt the same way about CP2077 at first and ended up loving it by the time the next gen patch came around.
“Destiny is still played by millions on xbox and watch what would happen if it was suddenly taken away from those xbox gamers.”
Watch what would happen if COD was suddenly taken away from PS.
COD is a far bigger game than Destiny. Not having COD + WZ on your console is far, far worse than not having Destiny.
COD right now is the 2nd most played game on Xbox - beaten only by Fortnite. Destiny is 6th. Meanwhile on PS Destiny wasn’t even i...
I’m surprised Saints Row managed to get #1 with how lackluster and broken it is.
Either the other games sold barely any units, or there’s going to be a lot of disappointed gamers playing SR.
EDIT: looks like this is physical sales only, so perhaps it’s not actually #1 if you include digital sales.
Makes sense. In terms of the general population, most people have smart TVs, barely any have consoles.
They just need to expand it beyond Samsung and onto LG as well as popular entry level TV brands.
Fortunately now when they talk about TV it isn’t 2013 Xbox One “TV, TV, TV”.
Most games launch buggy, and even if this does, that’s a shame but it’s still going to be one of the best, if not the best game of 2023.
You know it and I know it.
Also people were so excited for this game back when it was a PS exclusive - I wonder what changed? Bethesdas reputation for bugs certainly isn’t new.
