Plus it's dynamic as hell, so you've always got another car, corner, angle, different weather circumstances, lighting, etc. Lightning won't always strike on the same tower in every race for example, so the game keeps on giving visual sweetness the more you play. And people also feel the game deserves more positive attention since its launch debacle.
I'm one of those people.
I just hope this news doesn't entice certain people to accept the new challenge these security measures will bring.

Uncharted 2 dev team was 85 people strong.
Also, you need to adjust your definition of "one hit wonder". It has nothing to do with replay value.
We can keep going like that, lol. Bioshock anyone?
@ ps4gamer1983
It saddens me to say that as of 2012 we've exceeded 7 billion.
Talking and driving at the same time doesn't seem to work for this guy.
I'm hoping for Rayman Legends Remaster. I have the PS3 version, but wouldn't mind having the remaster (with zero loading times it seems) on my new 2TB hdd.
This realization made me all giggly inside. I've been gaming since the golden PSX days and therefore came to know the flow of graphics evolving as a console matures, but this gen every single game seems to have been put under a microscope in such a ridiculous way it actually made me lose sight of the long term in graphical development. Can't wait to be blown away year after year by new game reveals!
@PeaSFor Je ne sais quoi :)
I know I can't judge the final product yet, but playing the Alpha I actually felt the graphics (especially the playable char and the floor) in that build were rather plastic-ey, especially when compared to Infamous:SS.
Luckily the atmosphere and overall visual design are brilliant and the focus lies on the addictive gameplay, but from a purely technical standpoint I can't say I was wowed.
After reading the interviews with the biggest trophy hunters, I couldn't help but wonder why they don't pay these people to review games instead of the self-proclaimed journalists we have to deal with in the gaming media. I mean, they've played them all and actually took the time to achieve every achievable task as opposed to rushing through the game to nail a deadline. If anything, they are the real experts IMO.
I'm more than satisfied my Demon's Souls plat got me into the Bloodborne Alpha, that's the best reward they could give me for trying over and over to get that damn pure bladestone.
Also: The Vanishing of Ethan Carter!
My first playthrough was on hard and I adored every second of it. The only bug I encountered was the game automatically dialing the gamma settings back to 20% which made the game that much harder, especially when I was too st*ned to notice it wasn't part of the level design lol.
Imagine the horror, creeping forward inch by inch through pitch black corridors, jumping at barely visible vents opening up next to me or not seeing Working Joe's lying on the floor and sudden...
Sadly, for those comparisons you have to read most of the DC reviews...
You could also argue that the author actually wants an Uncharted layer draped over other gaming genres instead of bringing aspects of said genres into the Uncharted formula.
Other than fanboyism, this would be the only logical explanation for his write-up..
Got it for the exact same reason, something to channel my everyday frustrations through, but after a month I already got bored with it before prestiging the first time. Luckily I was able to trade it in for LBP3, just like I traded Destiny in for Alien:Isolation.
Yes and no for the reasons stated above. GT5 2.0 was also miles ahead of its launch edition but didn't get re-reviews either. In hindsight, GT5 2.0 can really be seen as the definitive racing game for last gen, but going by the reviews for the game one would think it's an incoherent mess of a game.
I second this!
ATM I'm preparing myself mentally for my Nightmare run. I'm so so happy they released this patch along with the patch that solves the framerate stutter during cutscenes. My first playthrough on Hard lasted me 25 hours spread over 2 months because it was so freaking intense. These Christmas holidays are going to be epic.
Thanks so much for bringing both these making ofs under my radar! I didn't know they existed, though I had seen some snippets of the making of MGS2, where they discussed the real life actors posing as soldiers and how they'd have to hold their guns etcetera. Really interesting stuff!
