Maybe they stand firmly behind their design ideology of keeping everything sleek, classy and mature. I understand what you're saying, but if a brand wants to maintain a certain quality and designer label, like Apple for example, they aren't going to let people mess around with their vision of its products. That's why you can't have a flashy green interior in your new Mercedes. Still, the more, the better I'd suggest.
If GT7 doesn't have updated car sounds, I imagine I will use this just as I did in GT5 and still do in GT6. The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin and even The Prodigy work quite well with those games.
Why oh why don't they do a similar price cut in Europe? I would buy an XboxOne without a second guess. Importing from the US isn't an option either due to customs interfering and adding taxes that reduce the advantage to zero.
Edit: For those wondering, the XboxOne currently sets you back a whopping 508 USD :s No wonder they can't get the console to lift off in Europe.
I think you misunderstood, it was my kindest way of saying that people focusing on the holiday season are just little kids. I guess cynicism doesn't come over right in written language. My bad.
Having rarely played PC games at a higher framerate than 30, I too am perfectly happy with 30fps if locked. But I can definitely understand people like my brother who is used to playing 60 fps and higher since battlefield 3. It's never good to take a step back in 'quality', so I'm actually pleased I was never spoiled by PC gaming.
Maybe a lot of those people actually live from school holiday to school holiday, which makes Christmas holiday season the most important time of year, just like recess is the most important time of day..
Over here in Belgium it single handedly sparked an enormous interest in the sport. Skateboard shops would pop up in every large mall and neighborhoods got pimped with their own skateparks. For us, this game brought a revolution among young people by exposing and introducing us into the world of skateboarding, including the music and clothing style that came with it.
This game was BIG.
Have you heard of Gametrailers?
It's like someone else on this site stated: just seek out reviews that sit in between the highest and lowest scores and start from there. You still get to form your own opinion on the game though, no matter how big or small the review site.
Wheelchair guy in Outlast, so very well played by the devs.
*SPOILER* First you approach him from behind, so you think you've got the upperhand - and not a single f*ck was given by the dude. Then you scavenge the rooms at the other end of the corridor, see some freaks staring at a screen, pass the same hallway and actually believe the wheelchair guy is drugged or at least unaware of your presence, and then he jumps up and pulls you down. So awesome!
I was wondering, could you use SharePlay to invite a friend over to a beta?
Yeah man, it is everything you want and even more. Its game world is 1:1 Alien universe, you can spend hours upon hours watching the architecture, all the different safety and guidance logo's that were unused in the movie (I reckon you too must have seen the extended making of), listening to the iconic clicking computers.
It also helps that the game doesn't feel gamey, it's all very realistic and mature. The first chapters actually feel like an elaborate tech demo...
It seems Working Joe has been busy mopping the floors prior to your arrival on the ship.
After 5 years of PS3 only, I played FarCry 3 on my new PC. This was the beginning of next gen for me, and what an awesome way to start the gen off: a vibrant tropical island setting, clear blue seas, tall grass, beautiful sunlight, the terribly intriguing Vaas, open world gameplay, etc.
I cannot for the life of me see how FarCry 4 can top this experience for me. As others have said, as of yet it really feels like a new skin over an existing game. I hope I'm proven wrong w...
Or it could always be some sort of dynamic wallpaper during load screens..
I'm currently 4 evenings in and have just reached chapter 7 - playing on hard. I've literally been crawling forward inch by inch, loving every second of it.
I also cannot get over the fact the game world feels so authentic. I must've lost close to 10 minutes alone walking backwards and forwards in front of the ventilation ducts, getting chills down my spine every time the circular blades open and close.
I can testify to that! I'm nearing the end of chapter 5 (25% of the total campaign apparently) on hard and have played for two entire evenings, advancing inches at a time and jumping because of every clicking computer or whistle of escaping steam.
I knew the game could be special, but I never anticipated the sheer quality of this title.
Especially those pedals look dirt cheap to me, compared to the set you get with the T500 RS.
Last game that didn't do this to me was Wolfenstein The New Order (one out of 8 next gen games I own..). That game had some seriously fun gameplay, but yeah, apart from a few exceptions, you're absolutely right.
Thanks for the tip on Gamejolt!
^This man speaks the truth.
Yeah, I can also testify to the fact that my PS4 wouldn't come out of standby mode, not by pressing the home button, nor by pressing the power button on the console itself. I've also had to change the hdmi cable to another slot on my TV because I only got picture without sound right after updating. But a hard reset has solved the issue it seems.
