Didn't watch the South Park episode on the Rift? :)
Agreed. I actually liked the fogginess of the visuals and wonder if making the image a little crisper for PS4 and X1 will take away a bit of that humid, moody English atmosphere they got going on the WiiU. It made it that more difficult to spot a zombie that was creeping up on you, which I loved.
Has there been any talk yet about DLC or season passes?
...and you'll still see the same fanboyish fools state that Bloodborne is either too niche, or that Sony's made a dumb business decision by releasing it as a Plus offering. You'll never be able to meet the expectations of blind haters. I mean, releasing the same game as the competition but a month earlier doesn't even cut it for these people.
Great comment!
The best feeling a game can give you is when you accomplish something difficult by yourself. And IMO it's even better if you yourself have to discover what it is you're expected to accomplish.
@SlapHappyJesus
I'm sorry I didn't specify. With old skool I meant games with a focus on narrative and atmosphere (Half-Life) versus the typical 5 hour shooting galleries of last and current gen.
When Quake and Doom stepped into the limelight, I was still getting familiar with Crash Bandicoot and the likes. I didn't even have a PC at my parents house so apart from UT, I missed all those games.
Both games are really great old skool fps experiences. I just wish the voice actors didn't have such a thick fake Russian accent which to me was a real immersion breaker at times (Ubisoft and its French speaking cast comes to mind as another big offender).
You're not going to be disappointed by the puzzles (especially the ones in pitch black), just don't expect a story as deep, fleshed-out and engaging as Portal had. This director's cut does add an extra dimension to the game and the ending was completely satisfying, but it'll never stand shoulder to shoulder with the world of Aperture Science.
Do you know if Destiny 2 is going to be cross gen?
This guy sums up the mentality of today's people. If it cannot be consumed quickly and if you have to put in an effort of your own, it'll get passed on in favor of an easier distraction.
And to say there used to be a time when you couldn't simply resort to the internet if you got stuck in a game..
Please do yourself the pleasure of playing this gem. To my knowledge, this type of story never has been done in any form of media. The ending is just shockingly good. I can only imagine this working in a game, which makes it a must buy for any self respecting gamer.
This game is quite the experience, people!
Gameplay wise it may be little more than a tech demo that provides plenty of reasons to stop and stare at the beautiful surroundings, but the story in combination with the detective-style puzzles makes this one of the freshest experiences on PS4 out today. I just wish the characters blended better with the high quality textures seen in the gameworld and didn't look as if they were pulled from GTA4- that was the only immersion bre...
In this day and age few media stand the test of time. Within the realm of gaming, I'm positively sure Kojima and his MGS will remain a classic because of its stories filled with timeless human thematics. Konami on the other hand most likely will only be remembered for the Konami cheat code in a hundred years time. Let them try to remove Kojima from gaming history all they want, they will never be able to eraze Kojima's influence in the industry.

It's amazing that after having played DC for hours and hours I'm still impressed by the rain effects watching these videos.
Sony, why u no GT7??
Completely mesmerized by Ratchet's ear movement, especially when he's flying :o
@ Cupid
This is exactly how the rest of the world interprets the current situation. Luckily we could care less which narrative 'merican media try to push, we speak with our wallets and this gen we're louder than ever before it would seem.
I'm sorry, dude.

Maybe not dead, but near starvation at least. jk
Replays have become 10 times smoother with my Thrustmaster steering wheel, so absolutely! It's actually really easy to see if I used a DS4 or the steering wheel.
In driveclub for example you can feel the slightest change in traction when going over different surfaces thanks to the force feedback. Crossing bridges especially feels brilliant.
