Knowing Kojima, we can definitely expect a multilayered story full of plot twists and symbolism. To me it was always difficult enough to truly understand everything that's going on by watching the cutscenes for the first time (especially MGS2 and 4).

If they try to lay out the same heavy and mature thematics during gameplay (riding towards an objective or escort missions for example), it's going to complicate matters even more, at least for people like myself who wer...

I'll buy a good PC when my current one dies (gaming is expensive enough as it is, especially living in Western Europe). Bioshock Infinite and a few other gems like Star Citizen alone don't warrant the purchase of yet another way to play games, at least not in my household..

And if this 'cancer' you speak of keeps developers in a healthy financial state while we, the gamers, crave for ever more complicated and expansive gaming universes, I'm happy enough to...

If there's one remaster I'd happily pay for, it would be Bioshock Infinite on PS4. The PS3 version felt really lacking having played the original Bioshock on a decent PC (for its time).

For this very reason I couldn't bring myself to replay the campaign so another go in full HD and 60fps would be awesome!

Also GT5!

I agree to a certain extent. The wheel is super expensive and the price difference automatically makes you expect a unique life changing experience. I myself came from playing GT5 to death with a Logitech DF:GT and the T500rs was really on a whole nother level when I first tried it with GT6. DF:GT became completely obsolete from that point on, let alone a controller. Both felt like 'just toys'.

As of yet my favorite game to play with the T500rs is Driveclub. Maybe you...

Over here in Belgium (in between the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK) we rarely get any game-related ads, but if we get them, they're always for Playstation. Bloodborne has gotten one of the more "aggressive" ad campaigns, while MS doesn't seem to bother grabbing our attention.

They certainly got my attention, but this video also makes me realise what a great developer Naughty Dog is. I mean, all the building blocks are definitely there, but neither the art design, main characters, moves, music or collectibles hold a candle to the original Jak and Daxter. That game had heart and soul to spare compared to this early gameplay footage.

@ Scatpants

Then you have to try Alien:Isolation too, IMO this one takes it up a notch coming from Dead Space.

I just got the Sennheiser HD800's with a dedicated headphone amp and ever since I'm no longer satisfied with my normal speakers + amp. The first time I entered the Forbidden Woods in Bloodborne, I was able to dodge the falling tree trap just because of the audio cue coming from behind me. Fantastic!

BTW, other games that really shine through a stellar headphone are Dying Light (the ambient noises in the streets, hearing one zombie out of a crowd noticing your presence...

"Quality becomes viral"

Like religion you mean? Or pop stars? Or Hollywood movies? Mass appeal means sh*t in this world.

I really wish Naughty Dog would make a mature space-themed game à la Moon or Interstellar, with audio that could challenge Gravity. Make it happen!

The Pagani in Project Cars reflects the stars in the sky. Is this some kind of ultra realism?

On topic: I'm astounded by the car visuals in GT6, it really holds up well against PC. This makes me all the more excited for GT7.

.. especially now that they've announced a mellow/stoner mode where you play as winged Yoshi. This game will certainly bring warmth and colour during the first cold days this Autumn.

Are the people who only count one month in a year by any chance the same ones who only count one country on the planet?

Me too. Driveclub keeps me entertained and all, but it's nothing compared to the addiction that is GT.

I just hope they hold off on showing too much of the game when half of the promised features prove to be overly ambitious for the hardware while approaching release day. But the fact that we haven't even seen a single screenshot for the game ensures me that they've learned from the whole GT5 fiasco (a game that only realized its intended goals when Spec II was re...

I think you can also add GT7 to the mix. We haven't heard a single update on the game for too long, I'm fairly certain some curtains will be lifted.

@ Traumadisaster

Games that moved me were games with stellar soundtracks and equally as important LIVE music. Journey, TLoU, Heavy Rain, RDR.

I've said this before, but to deaf ears it seemed: music is the one aspect of a game which infuses it with credibility and makes the game world feel rich, deep and tangible. I'm all for arcadey tunes in arcadey games like Super Stardust HD or electronical music in Wipeout or MGS2, but the games that stand out an...

Nightcrawler is indeed one of the finer movies of the past few years and my personal nominee for Best Movie for the Oscars, but just like Moon, those movies are driven by stellar acting performances rather than their scripts. Re-watching those just isn't the same as re-watching The Godfather or Platoon or older classics like 12 Angry Men, Witness for the Prosecution, Vertigo.

Come to think of it, only actors get me excited nowadays, instead of the actual films. BTW, have...
