Too bad the console versions are targeting 30fps now, Redux on PS4 and Xbox One was a 60fps game and better because of it.
Sorry to hear that, it's weird how they pick and choose. I've registered for the last 4 betas and only gotten into 3 of them.
I got in the beta, haven't received the download notification yet but they did send me an avatar.
I have serious doubts about this, didn't development for the PC version stop in 2015 or 2016? The developers took people's money and ran.
The reason they say that there can be framerate drops is that some PS4 Pro games when connected to a 1080p will run in a higher performance 1080p mode automatically. Now it will always default to the 4K mode if you enable this on a 1080p TV, so you will not get the performance benefits of games that have a 1080p specific mode.
I believe both editions of the game have been available since I pre-ordered it. When I did it in August there was the edition with the glasses and drink stones and the simpler $60 edition.
Pre-orders on Amazon have been available for a while, I did it back in August.
Japan will never buy Xbox and Xbox gamers don't care about Japanese games. If they did, they wouldn't have bought an Xbox One.
They wouldn't throw away money destroying Japanese companies for the sake of exclusives their base won't play.
This is a really stupid "article" and the author's tastes are questionable. Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy have better shooting mechanics than TLOU and more exploration. Both games try too hard to be movies at times but TLOU is much worse with its abuse of the "walking cutscene" and pointless QTEs. Hold forward while listening to exposition or mash triangle to open a door, hopefully they realize that shit isn't fun in the sequel.
The Japanese market is very different than the North American or European market. In Japan the Vita is a relative success while in the west it's quite unpopular. They simply like portable devices more than home consoles so it's not shocking that the Switch would be wildly popular, as it serves both functions.
Can't wait for my copy to come, great deal at $40.
Won't be shocked if the Switch surpasses the Xbox One's lifetime sales within 18 months. PS4 will be much harder to catch since it's already at close to 75 million.
Shocking, a game developed by a Japanese company got more support on a Japanese console. Most publications only review the copies they're provided so if they were only provided the PS4 version they'd review that one and just give the same score to the others.
Aside from the 2-3 Microsoft titles a year, the library is very old so those games were already affordable if you want them. I've purchased many AAA Xbox One titles for $20 or less, for one reason or another most AAA games outside of GTA drop in price rather quickly.
Exactly, I think there are definitely elements of the new trailer that look simplified from before but at the same time it still looks great, and this looks like it's actually in-engine rendering on a PS4.
Microsoft is going to try and maximize the value of the service to appeal to the broadest audience possible. They're not going to dole out money to developers to make niche games if they think they can satisfy more subscribers with another shooter.
Games don't get removed from your PS+ library if you stay subscribed, games do get removed from Game Pass regardless of whether or not you've maintained your subscription. If a game is removed you will have to buy it to continue playing, something that never happens when a game is removed from PS+ or Games with Gold.
Yes, it gives you the possibility of playing more multiplayer games, more unfinished games, and being subject to microtransactions and lootcrates. I appreciate that for some people Game Pass is a nice option that provides value but if this sort of thing becomes the standard there is no way that it won't have a negative effect on single player games, as they're harder to monetize with recurrent consumer spending models.
They will probably get some sort of shared revenue but this will almost guarantee that more games on Xbox feel the need to supplement through recurrent consumer spending.
It's kind of bad, there have been many Japanese games that released on PS4 and PC but not Xbox One.
