Ellipses?
Damn Republicans. To hell with the lobbyists.
Damn Republicans.
@KwietStorm: What I meant was it doesn't matter if it's DICE, PSN or MS servers. Yes, the problems are real, but not the way he spun it.
It has nothing to do with the servers. Your one bubble makes me think you know that, too. Troll. :)
@AndrewLB: Plausible, but we'll never know unless someone from Sony says anything. But, as far as I know, you don't have to download the day one patch to play your ps4 offline. For the Xbox One, it's mandatory.
But, looking back, it was a genius move by Sony to take notes on everything gamers hated about the Xbox One when it was revealed and go the opposite direction.
I would like to respond to your comment, but it's buried beneath an offer for 15% off my car insurance.
The system wasn't rushed. Both Sony and Microsoft had mapped out what they wanted to do after the ps3 and 360.
What WAS rushed was Microsoft fixing things to comply with their backtracking on the "always online" component.
I believe Mister_Dawg was referring to the OS of both systems. From what I've read online and heard on podcasts, both were coming in hot for launch. They'll get things fixed and added as time goes on, so no biggie.
@DeadlyFire:I mistyped 4v4. I meant 6v6. Thanks for the correction.
Reading up on Evolved, it sounds like the 4 hunters try and protect the wildlife while hunting the Goliath, while the Goliath hunts the wildlife to try and level up to get powerful enough to take on the hunters. Maybe they'll explain more as they reveal more, but it so far it doesn't look like the Goliath gets any AI help.
@Hicken: What I am getting at is if Respawn designed the ma...
I also find the premise for this game interesting. I guess when you reach the final stage as a Goliath, stealth is out the window, as it would be hard to hide as a 30 ft fire breathing monster.
What's ironic is it's 1v4. Titanfall is 4v4 and the internet is up in arms.
If it is CoD evolved, I think that is a good thing. Remember, these guys wanted to stop after MW2, but Activision wouldn't let them. People complain that CoD is the same old game every year. Titanfall, while familiar, will be a breathe of fresh air for the fps genre.
Oh, and thanks for the correction on Titans.
Eonjay: I'm going off of the clips I've seen. During the match, there is a timer that ticks off the time until Titans can be dropped.
Titans are timed drops that anyone can employ after a certain amount of time has passed in the match. That's what I saw in the gameplay videos. The match starts and everyone starts Titan-less. At some point, the players are individually informed that the Titans are ready to be deployed and they can do so whenever they feel necessary.
MacDonald is a woman.
Yes. I think people are thinking that there will be AI piloting Titans and filling out open slots, but, from what I've seen on youtube, that is not the case. The AI work like the creeps in DOTA 2 or they are just general grunts for players to shoot at.
But Respawn should have CLEARLY explained this before revealing 6 vs 6.
From the videos I've seen, the AI don't pilot Titans. Think of them like the creeps in DOTA 2.
I really don't get all the hate Titanfall is getting because it's 6v6. The Last of Us has awesome multiplayer and it's 4v4. My friends and I had many hours of fun playing the different Fight Nights/Knockout Kings and those games were 1v1.
Does tentpole game + next gen mean there has to be a higher player count?
Maybe in the subsequent sequel. Remember, Respawn is a relatively small studio who worked on making a kick ass multiplayer with some campaign elements mixed in.
I would try and top this, but I can't. He's bald.
