Great stuff, thought the trailer was just marketing material, but this is real!
Indeed, with 360 developers looking to cash in on the PC market, the PC spec requirements for their games aren't going to increase between now and the end of 360's lifecycle. Now would be a good time to buy a new machine if those games are relevant to you.
And u have the added benefit of not having to pay for what a PC gamer has always enjoyed - free online gaming.
I don't think mentioning a whole slew of multiplatform titles helps justify why the 360 "walks away the clear winner from E3". They are multiplatform, you know.
@why dis - no, multiplatform sales parity still doesn't justify why the 360 is the winner from E3 - the 360 doesn't get any more games, nor the PS3 any less. But it seems you prefer to play "sales" and "release dates", rather than the games themselves.
Not surprised that Don would write something like this, and the timing of it is just to be expected. It wouldn't be hard to imagine him in his mom's basement, frothing at the mouth in front of the computer as he watched E3 and realised he wasn't getting MGS4 on 360 like he was led to believe. Isn't this just so like him when he declared he had been supporting digital downloads all along, after all the cheerleading he did for HD DVD?
It seems I don't need to convince the majority ...
I believe only 6.8gb is available. You're a little optimistic with your calculations.

A microsoft presentation, which mentioned DVD9 capacity.
Nice one, a well deserved win to the Uncharted franchise. Congrats to the Naughty dog team again.
No one wishes the standard controller to be replaced by motion controllers.
Nevertheless, I would think that for certain game experiences (even somewhat hardcore ones), it will have an advantage in precision and immersion compared to the standard controller.
Please note that I was not arguing about the usefulness of the sixaxis tilt.
I will restate my position. People touting the new motion controllers are perhaps genuinely interested in them.
As for my own opinion, I have enjoyed the Wii, and would be happy to see a similar motion controller on the PS3. I do not think it is necessarily a bad thing for Sony to be "following".
Perhaps the ones criticising the wiimote are not the same as the ones praising the new motion controllers now. Ever think of that?
Of course, there will be some hypocritical ones, but more likely is that there is genuine interest in getting the wiimote experience on a HD capable device.
But we weren't talking about "success" now, were we? This is a thread about graphics, if you remember. But I can understand why u have both chosen to shift the conversation a bit.
Either way, let it be known that I do not play a game's "success". I play the game itself. Perhaps it is a different story for you guys.
Edit: To expand,
Sony delivers with its games (in both graphics and gameplay), and gamers are happy for that. They ...
"massive budget and 5year dev time" does not influence the fact that killzone graphically beats anything that is available on the 360 currently. You are trying too hard.
I wouldn't be so certain about your claims.
This is but one website, but it does contradict your point.

Most games took years to develop. Maybe you need to wake up to reality?
Sales have nothing to do with graphics fidelity. Are you confused?
And perhaps you should learn to count. I clearly listed more than 2 games.
What an idiotic argument, meus. Why limit ourselves to looking at multiplatform games PRIOR to 2008, to judge what the PS3 has brought to gamers so far?
The ultimate reality (albeit a bitter one for you) is that most notable multiplatform games of NOW are essentially equal. Add in the brilliant first party exclusives, and the whole stable is unbeatable.
That doesn't look like a mistake to me.
It is only fair to compare exclusives, as they are the main differentiators between the platforms.
The bottom line is that Sony's first party exclusives bring the best graphics to the table, and that can never be a bad thing (no matter how much you downplay it with "gameplay" arguments).
You ask what we have? MGS4 and Killzone 2. We also had the multiplatforms that you mentioned (with the exception of halo, gears, mass effect, L4D). In the near future, ...
Personally, I find home to be an enjoyable experience. Similar to ICQ or IRC, but with a very visual element to it. I have obviously regarded Home as a social space, but Home is what anyone makes of it. Naturally, some people (typically Xbox fans, LOL) don't get it, and as such, it isn't a thing for everyone. For those who genuinely want what it offers, it is definitely rewarding.
I don't think I deserve that praise, especially for my earlier combativeness towards you. Thank you anyway.
But I agree, no one knows for sure how much greater FF13 could be without those limitations.
Hmmm, elusive indeed, especially when you write like that. If you are saying that i misunderstood you (and if that is really the case), then I apologise.
I did gather you do not subscribe to the "notion that the PS3 version is or will be somehow held back due to the 360". You cite PS3's poor multiplatform performance despite its advantages, from which you infer that the blame rests solely on developer's capacity. However, if the developer is indeed very capable, would...
It was quite easy to infer from barragan's statement that if the 360 is indeed inferior, and that square enix will try to equalise the two versions, then the game will have been compromised.
Maybe you should do a little more thinking next time.
LOL, pope, i love you.
