Those are nice recommendations, josh.
As with 11 million units in their 2008 year, 13 million is a modest but achievable goal. I'm glad you see it as a good number, as any sane person should.
Mind you though, the number is worldwide. Detractors will say that only the US matters, but in the end, a PS3 bought in New Delhi is just as good to *Sony* as the one bought in New York. Worldwide numbers matter.
Does value matter?
Since when is laughing a substitute for a convincing argument? Just at glance, there are already three examples above.
Hmmm, it should have been obvious that if given a choice, people would consistently choose Infamous over Prototype.
192,700 for Infamous in June, while Prototype on PS3 wasn't even on the chart.
It is just idiotic to say that "But even without PS3 and PC sales it would seem that Prototype has come out as the fan favorite over inFamous".
Choice is a blessing indeed.
Sony had previously evaluated the z-cam as early as 2001(?), if you watch the Stanford video. I wonder what they thought about it since then.
One criticism of the original wiimote was the precision, and I think that would have been apparent (and frustrating) to the heavy users. Sony and even Nintendo have taken it to heart, and both have gone in the direction of improved precision. That alone will lend itself to more possibilities (previously limited by precision).
Natal appears to open possibilities in another direction (z-axis pun LOL), but one would hope that its inherent lag will not limit even those possibilitie...
All of the good exclusives have sold sufficiently well to warrant sequels. As a gamer, isn't that what is important?
In between all the bashing about its marketing and such, Sony IS providing the goods for the gamers in spades. In spite of all the "disappointments" about the game sales, those games are ALL getting sequels. No genuine PS3 user is suffering from the supposed lack of sales or marketing. In fact, they seem to be getting more with time.
It a...
It's all about driving perception (and I'm not sure what is driving that in the first place, but likely a kind of fervour), in spite of reality.
edit:
if only I could use "that's it" to prove everything I say. :)
netsu, care to explain why "with a price cut for the PS3 , Xbox 360 will still Sell more"?
"thats it" is not an explanation.
Woah Darth, a bit touchy there, aren't you?
At the time of your last comment, no one had made any accusation that blu-ray was better than HD-DVD. So, why your unsolicitated assertion of otherwise?
Blu-ray IS the only format around at this time, so naturally the provider of best image quality at this time. Normally, such comments shouldn't have garnered a negative response, even from diehard HD-DVD fans.
It is funny :)
Perhaps it is what they want - that no one will listen, since, there is so much that they don't want people to hear.
Insert KZ2 disc... hmmm.
In most cases, the answer would be the console you already own (there must be a good reason you stuck with it, right?). What would be an interesting question too is: if you were a multiplatform gamer, which console would you be willing to ditch, if you were forced to?
Indeed. I was hesitant about the game for the first 5 hours or so, but now i'm 200+ hours in and enjoying it thoroughly.
You really need to put in the hours to see what the game has to offer. And it offers a lot, as you pointed out.
Not everyone is as familiar with logic, crab. I mean, there are people actually rooting for that STFU article. Article, "Sony, don't talk about how great your products are". Rooting, "Hell yeah!!!". Not in those exact words, of course.
Should those articles be left unanswered? "Hell no!!!", and for two reasons.
Firstly, some people do take these articles seriously as you could see from the comments alone.
Secondly, PSLS and ...
Are you kidding me?
Defending Sony is now officially... flame baiting? Will it be more legitimate if the defense came from... I don't know... you?
What does PS3 fans ragging on Halo or Gears of War have to do with the sensibility of comparing exclusives? Let alone the fact that you should be the last person to speak for all PS3 users, unbiased poster.
Having "enough" games to play is just a euphamism for having less choice (it is the same for both PS3 and 360 fans, but it appears PS3 fans will have less reason to use it as an excuse this year). Having more exclusives can only be a good thing, no matter how you and...
What price point do you guys think the PS3 should be at?
