The PSN store itself is well organised - the front page advertises main attractions, while the "new releases" tab gives you an extensive look at "What is new?", as you say it. It is there, unobstusive, and easy to access. There is also an RSS feed if you really, really want to know what's going on while you're navigating the XMB.
That is quite a blanket statement about opinions here. I can say that there are people who just as easily use any vantage point avai...
Idle,
It is simply the author's personal preference which, as you can see, goes against the grain of the majority of real PS3 users.
It doesn't sound like you know the PS3 well, whether or not you actually own one.
Except if you already have a PSP3000, u don't really have to pay for a PSP-go.
Ironically, even if you were just being sarcastic, your pathetic comment is just as applicable to the farce that is paying for a service that is inherently free when you look elsewhere - namely PC and PS3.
For the primary purpose of multiplayer gaming, the difference is indeed negligible. In fact, it is arguable that the PS3 and PC models are an improvement, since more often than not, the ...
The problem, Rowsdower, is that you need to get it through your thick head that both the Wii and the PS3 ARE selling at a faster rate than the 360 is. The only difference is that the Wii sold much faster than the PS3 did (for various reasons, the most important of which is finding a new market).

Can you *honestly* say that Sony is doing anything wrong? It managed to make the graph loo...
Having read all the comments (hmmm, I know), the main rift between supporters and dissenters seems to be about how important sub-mm accuracy is.
Personally, I would hardly be conscious of my own sub-mm movements, but knowing the fidelity of the PS3 mocon assures me that the device is going to be accurate beyond the requirements of the usual games. I do not have to fight the control as I did with the original Wiimote. That is not to say that the M+ won't be as accurate.
Looks like a firestorm here (for anyone who plays demon's soul :P), and I'm quite late to the party.
If anyone's still reading... i feel that the author oversimplified the situation, while 360 fans, rallied by the article, refuse to see beyond the confines of their own bias.
It saddens me to see how some fundamental logic can be ignored. The 360 is at the moment ahead of the PS3 simply because of its one year start, and this is especially true in view of PS3's faster...
LOL
Elegantly put :)
But i fear it does happen, and the media does exploit it well.
A hard drive is recommended.
You didn't read my post. I didn't say that KZ is an example of how blu-ray can extend a game's length or size. It is but one example of great detail, which accounted for its superior visuals.
Seriously, the shipping status of a game determines whether or not it can be used as an example? It is in playable form - does anything else matter?
KZ2 is a great example of detailed environments. That is just one of the three possible benefits of greater space - detail, size, or length of game.
Edit: people have seen it in person, lots of people have the beta, and it is perfectly reasonable to appreciate the visuals of the game from realtime high definition trailer...
I certainly would not bet on any game to remain exclusive forever, but the overall weight of the comments is that the game is exclusive.
"Exclusivity works on occasion – when you’re launching a new franchise, for example, and you need to get support from first-party. It’s one of the reasons we’re partnering with Sony on the new Agent title. That helps us get the awareness up and helps us get users engaged. Obviously the trade-off is the installed base of the other platform p...
I think you have missed morit's point.
The benefit of having greater disc capacity does not necessarily need to be about longer gameplay. It could be for a more immersive environment (Uncharted 2), a bigger world (open-world), or both. The latter effects are easily observable in PS3 exclusives.
DVD will always be sufficient if it is a limitation of your platform.
PS3 exclusives paint a different picture.
Thanks for the insight, greywulf.
However complex the shaders are, they still require data to work on. The higher the data resolution, the more detailed the outcome will be. You can't possibly forgo the resolution without consequences, unlike what edge suggested.
I think higher disc capacity does not necessarily need to show its benefit in terms of game length. A 15 hour game is justifiable if the visuals surpass those that were limited by disc capacity.

Is this a joke?
If it were possible for them to make it look as good as Uncharted 2, but they decided to hold back just because of recalcitrant 360 fans such as yourself, then yes indeed, they "cheated" PS3 owners.
We cannot really say how much "trouble" or ease they are having with the PS3 until the game releases. What you have done is simply put words in the developer's mouth.
No. Not that the 360 can handle games better, but that PC centric developers will be more familiar with it in the first instance compared to the PS3. Others that are more open to new architectures have had no problems utilising PS3's power, and the results are clear.
And why should anyone expend the effort to convince someone like you about something so obvious?
Unless new information arises, it is only natural to accept it for what it is.
karl, you seem to suggest there are features on that 360 list of yours that are missing from the PS3.
The PS3 supports DLNA streaming, external USB HDD support, movie rentals (in addition to purchases) including Netflix (through PlayOn), fully customisable media playlists, and allows you to donate AND contribute directly to research at the same time (what exactly is "skimming" about protein folding for the understanding of cancer biology?).
Lastly, you left...
