Yeah, in 2-3 years we'll have PS5. This leave MS in a really awkward position. Because Scorpio will be only 2 years old, but they'll need to update Xbox again to keep up with Sony. So their half-gen console is going to seem really worthless with only two years of gametime.

Well consider PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games, couldn't they have DLC updates with better settings and assets this time around? I think it would be awesome to pay $15 for better quality compared to buying remasters for $60.

PS2 BC looked absolutely terrible upscaled to HD... PS3 is already HD so looks far nicer. I'd definitely use PS3 BC on PS4... I mean, shit, it's no wonder games like FFX and KH got remastered for PS3, they hardly even looked playable because of the upscaling. PS4>PS3 BC wouldn't have that issue.
Also, used PS2>PS1 BC all the time and I'm sure everyone else did so this is a really crap argument.
Actually it's 5 hours, 20 minutes per person per month who uses BC. Only half of Xbox gamers use the feature.
And TBH I think if it was on PS we'd get even more play time. Say 7-10 hours a month because they have a larger catalog. That's one campaign a month or 12 a year. It's definitely a worthwhile feature.
