Seriously, consider it... I mean wouldn't you wait an extra 6 months for twice the graphics? It only makes sense at this point with how late it's going to be released. If it's instead released one year later, you'll get the second episode sooner. In either scenario there is a huge payoff. It's just their scenario with how late in the game it is.
I don't know. I kind of get the feeling FFVIIR is going to be launched cross-gen with PS5... I mean, it makes sense. There is a TON of work that needs to go into the game. Hundreds of Materia to balance, balancing battle mechanics, really long story, fighting styles for like 9 different characters, etc. It was announced too damn early. They should have announced it this year for the 20th anniversary, and released it in 2019-2020.

This isn't about consoles sold, it's about playing with friends who have a different console. They need to get it so you can add 10 friends from another network with voice-chat across platforms IMO. THAT would be cool.

I think we're nearing the end of the PS4 cycle(or atleast over the halfway point). It only makes sense that the only games being shown will be in the next two years, which means we don't need 3-4 year off titles being shown as they would be for PS5.
So I think we'll get the same amount of games, but less trailers. Some trailers are saved for PSX and E3 2018 and that makes sense. Any later games are going to be launch titles for PS5 and that makes sense. I me...

MS couldn't change up the cycle for a single year much less a generation.
Just look at GT Sport vs Forza... With Sony they do it once, maybe twice a generation now. With Forza it's every other year. It's insane.

Not really. Sony said they were open to the idea back in Gen 6. Gen 7 they stayed quiet.
MS is making a concerted effort to open up play. Even if it's late credit is due where it's due. You didn't hear Sony saying anything about crossplay during Gen 7 or doing cross competitor console stuff like MS and Nintendo are doing now.

Biggest mistake was no AAA exclusives. Even at $399 where is the value in Scorpio? Most of us would rather save the money or spend it on PS4 games or a Switch. Considering half of PS4 Pro users play on 1080p it could go towards a 4K TV. Even further consider that the majority of PS4 players don't have a Pro or 4K set. Without AAA exclusives the value simply isn't at MS when most of us could spend it on something else. Even at $399...
That too. Still need to play those games on emulator.
