What amazes me is that everytime something negative comes from the devs regarding the PS3, there's always some mysterious blogger or what have you running to the rescue for damage control. It's become very obvious in this generation that us gamers have the ball on our side of the court. When ever any news gets blown out of proportion, someone behind the scenes of these companies reads the forums like the daily newspaper, and they will do anything to convince us gamers that something was per...

In Halo2 those pistols really sucked. In fact it took two duals to equal the power of the pistol in Halo1. It doesn't necessarily have to be as powerful as the pistol in Halo1, but the scope and accuracy surely won't damage the gameplay for Halo3. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist over at Bungie to balance out the weapon by limiting the available ammo or even reducing the clip capacity. C'mon Bungie, we shouldn't have to figure this one out for you. You guys disappointed alot of fans ...

Someone really needs to tell these analyst to shove it somewhere. It seems like everyday I read something about some analyst cursing the Xbox360. The system has sold too many units, it has the largest next gen installed base, it has the best library of next gen games, and there's going to be a slew of triple A titles released this year that will satisfy every gamer's favorite genre. Blue Dragon, Lost Oddesy, Mass Effect, Halo3, GTAIV, Bioshock, Forza 2, Devil May Cry4, and the list goes on...

I would think that after having competition from games such as Saints Row, GTAIV would at least be on par with Saints Row in the graphics department. I guess the devs didn't learn much after developing for the PS2 for so many years. Graphics have never been one of the strong areas of the GTA games, but with the capabilities of the 360 and PS3 they could at least try. Hate my comment or whatever, but the GTA games are all the same with a different coat of paint. I bought both games for the...

As much as I love Microsoft for what they are doing with the new SKU, I really do think the early adopters are getting a raw deal, and the late adopters will be getting the deal of a life time. So if the premium Xbox360 still sells for 399 with a 20 gigabit hardrive and no HDMI, doesn't that mean the $80 more for the Elite version compensates for the cost of the 120 gigabit hardrive and HDMI+cable. There's just no feasible explanation as to why the early adopters should have to pay 179 buck...

This can't be good news to the folks over at Sony. That black design just made the Xbox360 even more sexier than before, not to mention that the hard dirve is twice that of the PS3. It has HDMI and the cables are included and yet it still falls way under the price of the PS3, both the 20 and 60 gigabit PS3 model. Ouch. Microsoft you bully :). You guys are always trying to impress the consumer and give us what we really want. Thank you for changing the game.

As much as I want to be optimistic about this, I have seen these announcements that announce that there's going to be an announcement. Now that's been happening a lot lately... Maybe, they might announce that all XboxLive subscribers will be invited to play the Halo3 beta with or without Crackdown. Nah, then there won't be a reason for people to buy Crackdown, right?

The character models are more boxier than a first generation PS1 game. Just look at the characters and texturing, the clothes have edges like oragami. Damn, some of the japanese devs are not even trying. Graphics aren't everything, but you can't develop a title that looks worst than games on the last generation console.

Now people, do you see the reason that Xbox Live isn't free and should never have been integrated with PC community. We wouldn't have to worry about anything like that with the console's online functinality.

If Microsoft can keep consistently improving Live and keeping it as a closed network, I will be willing to pay the measely subscription fee for the quality that is Xbox Live. There's no comparison to the Xbox Live community. Developers know it and gamers know it. If we get it for free it's going to feel like it's a free service. That means no quality assurance. That would also mean that we could see developers slacking on the online side of games. Xbox Live makes it easy on the devs whe...

Virtua Fighter vs. Tekken. What other reason would they have to mention loyal fanbase? Hey, Capcom and SNK settled there differences with their rival fighters after the two companies realized that nobody no longer cared about either of them, so why not Sega and Namco make a calaboration of their two long in the tooth fighters. Remember that you heard it here first.

I really hate it when a developer/publisher announces that there will be an announcement. It blatantly screams " Hey everyone, look at us in 2007. We need your attention to build up anticipation for this uber title that we're developing. We can't tell you what it is right now, but join the hype wagon until we reveal it at the end of the year". Another way of putting it is "We (Sega) are going to announce the title at the end of 2007, but it won't be released until late 2008...

If the Live service was free, we would be getting what we paid for:nothing. Having a closed network such as Xbox Live could never be free if we expect to have the constant improvements, updates, etc. and we as consumers would have no right to complain or voice our opinions for something we don't pay for. Currently the PS3 has a free online service just as it did for the PS2 online service, but where is it going? No where,it's the same rubbish service as before. I like the fact that every g...

Even if some of us are biased towards our favorite console, it's obvious, and there shouldn't be any denial that the 360 version does look superior in the video. Even if the contrast can't be used as a reference to see which looks better, the 360 version is sharper by all means. That should not be so obvious in a video, but it is. This just adds insult to injury as more and more multiplatform games are superior on the 360. Recently a Sony rep said that the Xbox360 and PS3 were about even. ...

That footage wasn't new at all. In fact I saw that trailer way back in late summer of last year. The trailer will always be impressive, but right now I'm looking for some new footage for this much hyped title. Maybe I've been spoiled by the quality of Gears of War and expect everything to have bang for the buck, not necessarily the graphics but the quality. Gears of War is to the 360 as Dead or Alive was to the Xbox. Dead or Alive was a launch title in the early life of the 360 and even ...

Yeah, Crackdown will sell millions on its own without the Halo3 Beta. And yes, I think it was sinisterly brilliant that Microsoft came up with the beta invitation as a way to lure in gamers who weren't initially interested in the title. If I saw such an opportunity, I would capitalize on it too. It's not as if we as consumers are being treated unfairly and it's not Microsoft's fault if most of us missed out on the beta invitation which was free from the beginning. For those who are compla...

Contrary to what you believe, the Wii indeed is basically the same hardware as the Gamecube. It's been said by the chip manufacture IBM and Miyamato himself. Miyamato was pushing for the price of $150 for the Wii, that is why Nintendo never played the numbers game with Microsoft and Sony. From the beginning they knew that the Wii couldn't compete for the hardcore gamer market so they always let us know that they were after casual gamers (basically your parents and pacman whores). It's sad...

I was hoping that the player would zoom in with the pistol. If it has the zoom in feature, we can truly rejoice that the original pistol has returned. The original battle rifle has returned as well. As for these screens and video as of late, I don't think any of this stuff uses Halo3's visuals that Bungie boasted about. I think the game is using the Xbox1 hardware to test the multilplayer of this game, or we could be in fact looking at the the future downloadable content for Halo2 (maps a...

I guess this guy is becoming the Kutaragi of Nintendo. I also think it's insulting to boast about the success of the Wii, cosidering that the Wii is obselete hardward practically overpriced at 100 bucks or more. The Wii was initially supposed to launch at $100+ because Miyamato knew that the system was using old hardware and that Nintendo was going after a different audience (casual gamers). I also read an article how Nintendo blantantly stated that they were all about profit. Nintendo Wi...
