Some of you guys have no shame. Everytime an article gets posted relating to Natal, as I read I notice that most of the comments are left by people who have no interest in the device. Natal news must be so popular that people who prematurely hate the device can't help themselves to look away. Microsoft must be doing some helluva marketing. They may even be able to sell water to a whale. Great job Microsoft. Your comment about buttons being your reason for not liking the device is st...
Let's get past the hatred for a moment. First problem is, unless you're technically gifted or have worked within Microsoft, and know more about Natal than the rest of us, please don't go running away with information that you've read on the internet about the removal of an onboard chip. None of us really know what the chip was initially for, nor do we know what the device is capable of.

Yeah, those were the good ole days. When 2K started selling their game for $20 on day 1 retail, EA felt that it was such a huge threat that they shelled out 500 millions dollars for the exclusive rights to use the NFL franchise in it's Madden games. It was a sad sad they when the world could no longer get the superior NFL 2K games anymore. It does seem a bit ridiculous to keep selling the same game over and over again only with updated rosters and improvements that only warrant downloa...
I don't think you guys realize how much damage it does to the industry when sellers like Gamestop sell trade-ins for only five dollars cheaper than the brand new copy. Now, I'm not sure how much most consumers are educated about this, but if you look at the shelves in most Gamestops, especially the stores where I live have the used copies stuffed on the shelves and more abundant than the new copies. The strategy that I've noticed is that Gamestop keeps the new copies on a shelf ...
I liked the dynamic camera angles. I saw things that I could only wish that were in Madden. I enjoyed the kickoffs, the stadiums looked better, the way the ball carrier becomes sparkled in gold aswell as the ball. It is a videogame, and I like it's attempt to make the game fun again. EA should learn alot from these guys and stop celebrating mediocrity. Too bad it will never sell well because if it doesn't have NFL and NCAA patched on it, I can't see it happening. It would ha...
The same way that I connected with Mass Effect2 but never really played Mass Effect1. It can be done with great story telling.
I don't like rumors, but it does excite me a little to hear about a possible Shenmue even if there's no evidence whatsoever to back it up. At the time Shenmue was such a technological leap in gaming. It tried to do so many things, and it was hard to follow. By todays standards, Shenmue would be a lot easier to develop. The conversation system has been surmounted by games like Mass Effect and Jade Empire. Todays consoles are more built for open world games. By the way, I think Sh...
I've always liked the idea of game exclusivity. It gives you a reason to be proud of being the owner of an Xbox360 or PS3 respectively. However, it's also becoming a problem with the development cost. I think games that aren't developed by first party developers should be timed exclusives only. The biggest complaint about multiplatform titles is that it's inevitable that one console will get more attention than the other because of the alledged differences in the technolog...
It's nice to see that the characters are a little more fleshier this time around. I guess that's why the devs decided to make everyone sleeveless.
I never thought about it before now, but Natal could open up new doors for the Dance Dance Revolution games and Guitar Hero games. Hell you could even play air guitar or have your avatar doing all of the head banging animations in real time. I'm worried about the injuries that many people will cause themselves, but it's exciting nevertheless.
I very much agree with you. The Natal will not do as well if it's to be released as a bundle with the current console design. It won't make sense. A redesign of the console will justify the relaunch of the Xbox360 just as Sony relaunched twice. The first relaunch was a stripped down version of the original 'fat boy' and the second relaunch was the PS3 Slim. Both improved sales of the console. Sometimes aesthetics matter when you're trying to woo the consumer. As nai...
You people can prejudge the Natal Project all you want, but I don't think the Army would be interested in a project that doesn't have potential for success. It obviously works better than what some of you perceive it to be. I don't understand alot of the backlashing on this peripheral. After all, it is just a peripheral. I never seem to see any comments about the Move controller in these forums. It seems that wand waggling is cool all of a sudden by sony fanboys now that Sony...
That was by no means on the same technological level as the Natal. The character was two dimensional, nothing short of what could be done using a cheap green screen. The collision detection was horrible. That type of gameplay was possible with the PS Eye several years ago. So misleading to compare skeletal tracking with infrared technology that can detect dept of field in a 3D space. I'm about to show my age by saying that it looked like the digitized graphics era of Mortal Kombat...
I've beeen thinking. After reading this, most people may agree that this would be the best future pricing for 360 and Natal. When you consider that an HDD costs above $100, and an external wireless adapter costs $100, it doesn't make since that any of these two peripherals would cost more than Natal if the initial alleged price of $79 is true. If I look at it from another perspective, it's also ridiculous that the 360 arcade SKU is only $200 bucks. There's something seriously...
I can see that my marketing is already working. You're following me down the page. Don't stop here. I check in everyday when I can. Thanks for being a fan. signed Omegaheat "I'm calling all fanboys out". Update: oops I think you have one more bubble left for commenting. Catch me in another forum AK46. Peace
I just called out CR-Y-SIS. signed Omegaheat "I'm calling all fanboys out".
Even when the articles aren't intended to start some flame war, guys like you come in here and stink up the place. signed Omegaheat "I'm calling all fanyboys out" Look for that sentence from now on. It will be left in all of my comments, and when you see it fanboys run. No more of this crap, it's getting old.
I was wondering what the guys who make these comments look like. Yep, that image is pretty much what I pictured, some chubby dude with keypads, modded consoles, a head set, playing games in the basement. I can't see all of those things, but you do fit the stereotype. Now, why don't you just walk yourself back to the PS3 forums and take the jokes with you because nobody's laughing. I'm going to start calling you fanboys out because you guys are giving the game industry a ba...
I hope E3 doesn't upset you too much if the Natal gets a positive response. It must be hard to sleep at night worrying about the success of a videogame peripheral succeeding for a console that I'm sure you do not own. "Yeah, yeah, I know you're wanting to respond with something like "Dude, I own both consoles" or "I traded the damn thing in after having the RROD issue". Ok, we get it. You and the other trollers who come in here don't like the 360. ...
Microsoft has done a great job getting the word out about Natal, and brilliantly trickling out just enough information out about the device to wow all skeptics come E3. No company would put so much work into pomoting something new unless they were extremely confident. The jet engine compliment is the perfect analogy. Planes fly within the earths atmosphere, but a spaceship orbits into space.
