Hey man, I appreciate it when guys can talk real things and support their favorite console in a reasonable and un-biased manner. But don't make the rest of us look bad by making ridiculous comments like that. Either you're a fanboy of the PS3 trying to use your comment as a way of exemplifying/implying that Xbox360 fans are brain-less or you're just really naive and don't mind making up $h!t that's not true. So do you really believe that because the Xbox360 has sold close to 21 million uni...
Personally, I don't give a damn about how many consoles the Wii keeps selling. Numbers are great for console sales and console sales are supposed to exmeplify software sales at some point. But when you talk about the Wii, third party developers get left out in the cold and overshadowed by Nintendo's own franchises. It's not because the third party developers don't support the console or don't put in any effort, it's because Nintendo shot themselves in the foot when they decided that casual...
Last night there was an article claiming that the Xbox360 had a 68% failure rate. That article was pulled faster than I could post my comment. It was very stupid to make such a statement without any real evidence. You just can't make up numbers like that and then post them. Not even bloggers can get away with that. I have never seen such a high flood of negative comments coming in regards to the Xbox360. These articles are starting to look like biased gamers and not bloggers who are fig...
Why does he care so much about Microsoft's money? The article didn't even mention the fact that Sony's PS3 causes even more losses of revenue than the Xbox360 causes Microsoft. The Xbox360 took 3years to reduce the Arcade SKU by $100. After 3 years that is not uncommon at all. In fact, I think the console would have dropped in price alot sooner had it not been for that impressive warranty update for those who were plagued by the defected systems. That warranty caused Microsoft alot of mon...
Man ever since Microsoft announced that impressive price drop for the Xbox360, I've been seeing articles like this hour after hour. This is really starting to get ridiculous. By no means is the timing of so many negative articles in regards to the 360, coincidental. There's just too many of them. C'mon people, most of us are adults and it's becoming pretty obvious that alot of gamers wish to pursuade other gamers not to buy a 360 or a PS3 for whatever reason I'm not sure. But I assure yo...
You know, I never reply to anyone's comments directly, but I've decided to pick on you because regardless of the fact that many others are illegally speeding in this zone, you're the one that I got to first. My first question is why on earth would you and so many others like you not want the Xbox360 to be successful? It's an american product with great quality and it took Microsoft to change the way we know gaming and community on concoles. I don't hate Sony, but you can't be so naive to t...
It doesn't take an analyst to realize that the average consumer will be looking at the 360's price point advantage come holiday season. I'm not sure what effect it will have on the Wii, but I just don't see the average consumer looking at the PS3 and saying let me get the one that cost $400 dollars with less games. As for the Wii, the price will cut into the sales at some point. People fail to remember what happened with the last generation when the PS2 dropped to its lowest price and the ...
Wow, not even 24 hours before the public can snatch up a 360 for $199 and this article pops up. This article was meant to send the public a false warning that the Xbox360 console is a danger to our homes. The real message beneathe the mask reads " Parents and potential buyers of an Xbox360 console. Buy this console at your own risk because it has been known to be more fire hazardous than any appliance in your home. Buy a Wii or PS3 instead. There have been no reports (if any) that e...
There's one thing in saying that the Wii is a huge success because of innovation, but trying to sell the console off as being an un-tapped graphical powerhouse on par with the Xbox360 and PS3 is just plain ludicrous. I mean he went too far with the mathematical additions of several Xbox's and PS2s to compare with the Wii. Just because there are alot of people out there who don't understand processing power or any other technical talk doesn't mean it's okay to start making ridiculous comment...
The new price can only be a good thing for the videogame market as a whole. The more people rushing to buy this console for its new attractive price, means the more games to flood the market. It also means that the 360 now looks a lot more attractive when compared to the Wii"s once cheaper and competitive price. The average consumer who bought a Wii has no idea that the console has been over-priced from day one. There's no new architecture or silicon in the Wii that would justify the...
I had high hopes that after the bad showing of this game at E3 2006, Silicon Knights would prove everyone wrong and make this title out to be the game that it was hyped to be. I don't want to be mean, but after playing the demo I realized the game didn't look very different than it did in 2006. If this game cost the amount to develop a small city, just where did all of Microsoft's funding go to? I remember reading how Dyack kept reiterating how manual camera control took away from gameplay...
Xbox Live currently could never be free. Microsoft puts a lot of money into the Live service. Ask the developers why it's so much easier to do multiplayer for the Live service. With Live the developers don't have to build an infrastructure for each online enabled game because Microsoft provides it. In other words the developers don't have to come out of their pockets to build one. Also Xbox Live is a closed network strictly for gaming and entertainment. The stored data and network traffi...
That's the reason I know that this is definitely a load of crap. And let's make a correction; GTAIV does not have better anti aliasing in the PS3 version. The developers had to use some kind of filter blur in the PS3 version because the PS3 has problems with aliasing. It's nothing new. I think Sony's trying way too hard to one up Microsoft everytime there's a big title release. It's becoming quite obvious now and not to mention pathetic.
I seriously don't believe that the majority of gamers actually go out and buy DVDs to watch on their consoles. I think the whole digital distrubution of film is a much more convenient way of doing so, which is problably the main reason that Microsoft never touted these high definition formats. The 360 has the highest attach rate of games to console. You'd have to be naive to think that all of a sudden this will come to a halt just because Sony declared victory over HD DVD. So I'm guessing...
Is it not enough that millions of Halo fans supported Bungie by going out to purchase this game. Why would you release a map pack for $10 just a few short months after the game's release. Doesn't this mean that Bungie could have included these maps from day one for free. Instead they held back the better maps and just gave us a few lame maps just to keep gamers hungry enough to purchase something that would have otherwise been free. They are obviously milking the cow. What ever happened ...
This is nothing new. This is also the reason that developers feel that they can't make a feasible profit when developing for Wii. Nintendo is the only one making money with the console. They have gotten away with selling outdated silicon to a naive market. That's fine and all, but not many of those consumers realize that the Wii is indeed a suped up Gamecube with the addition of a motion sensitive technology control system. The console's capabilities do not warrant the price of $250 and ...
The fact that this game will be released as a timed exclusive for the PS3 is a brilliant business and financial decision. When this game is released for the PS3 later this year, it will be the only real shooter or even game for that matter that will probably stand on its own against the selling power of Halo3. There will be no other game on Sony's console that will draw as much attention. If it's released on the 360 within the launch window of Halo3, there's a possible chance that it could...
Is it me or does this game's visuals mark the paradigm of real-time graphics. Gears of War did it first but this looks beyond awesome. Sheer eyecandy.
This article should be sent to Bungie and by all means not be ignored. These are some serious questions. That one about the graphics however is the question on everybody's mind. The visuals are far from unpleasant, but beta aside, this is the same game that was rumored to go head to head with the Playstation3 launch that was supposed to occur Spring 2006. Okay, we all know that was a big flop from Sony, but that meant that anything that Bungie had initially planned for Halo3 should be enha...
I guess patience is a virtue. I'm glad for Microsoft. The media beat Microsoft up over the low console sales in Japan. Sure it's just one week ( beating the Wii in sales in Japan for the first time ever ), but it was also said and thought that it could never be done. The system is gaining some respect, and maybe the japanese really weren't prejudice of the american console, but just needed the right games to appeal to them. It just so happens that JRPGs don't just appeal to japanese game...
