With the install base of the PS3 this is pretty bad especially when you look at ToV and the 360 install base

Gears 2 will be the best exclusive shooter this year period on any console, it will also be the biggest exclusive seller as well and do you know why, because the MAJORITY of people like it

Seems like every 360 exclusive sells at least a million regardless of its score, and this game was deemed a flop by sony fans lol
And this is why MS make a profit on their hardware while Sony doesnt.

Well they're certainly doing better, an average of 4,000 a week is better than an average of 1,000
The people who complain about the cost are the people who see it only as a game console. And because other 'game consoles' like the Wii and 360 are cheaper they think that the PS3 should be too
Also the fact that they take away features like BC,SD card support and USB ports insted of adding features like HDMI (360) or DVD support (Wii) without lowering the price you do start to feel a little cheated out of your money

With the amount of money Nintendo are making they could probably release Wii 2 with super high specs for a really low price without ever having to worry about going into debt

And to all who say it flopped it score better than Uncharted, R&C:TOD the same as Warhawk and a 0.1 away from Resistence. So if you consider those games AAA then you better consider ToV AAA as well
Why would they need to it will likely sell at least 4-5million on the 360 by the end of the year, espically with a price cut, MS marketing, a huge shooter loving install base and Xmas coming
And since Gears 1 cost only 10ml to make Gears 2 cant cost much more so they should easily make a profit
