Motorstorm likely wont be great if the first is anything to go by, also considering that Pure has so far been well recived it likely wont have anything to make it standout
As for Socom the beta has said to be all over the place and its to be release soon, so its unlikely that it will get enough polish to be a really great game

Funny you should say that since Halo 3, Gear of War, Forza 2 and Mass Effect have all been rated higher than EVERY Sony published PS3 game so far and by the end of the year Fable, Gears 2 and possibly Banjo will be joining that list
So MS has quality and quantity while Sony shamefully has neither, sad times eh

This pretty much gurantees a win this holiday for MS in the US and UK, but as for the rest of the EU it remains to be seen
As for the people saying "another price cut", Sony cut the price of the PS3 twice in its FIRST YEAR, not to mention all the hidden price cuts by releaseing 5 different SKUs
I dont know why that when Sony cuts the price or bundles their best games its seen as a 'good deal of the costumer', yet when MS does it its seen as desperation
September 25th is next week i wonder if that rumour about 12 new exclusive games is true
Out of all the games coming out this holiday LBP probably has the most positive hype
But there are still a few iffy things about the game, like the article mentioned how are you going to find all the great levels when there will likely be 80% of pure averageness/crap. Even if there is a rating system the chances are the creator will get all his friends to give his level 5 stars which will make finding genuinely good levels even harder

The shape feature, where you make shapes from other shapes can be very VERY powerful in the right hands. Forza had the same feature and people were about to create entire people with incrediable detail with it so i wouldnt call that a limitation

Why would they do that when the game sold shed loads more on the 360 than the PS3, it woud just be bad busniess not to release it on the 360

If they give it a market campaign which is half the scoop that the Halo 3 one was then they may just stand a chance of doing so, since its pretty rare for a 360 exclusive published by MS to sell under 1ml
I think LBP will sell well just not to a casual audience, since casual gamers buy things which are cheap and the PS3 is anything but cheap so what chance does it have of appealing to them
Of course Sony could cut the price but they already said that they wounldnt and i doubt they want to be caught lying again
For a new IP which wasnt even bundled with the console these are quite incredible numbers
But it didnt cost £50 or $60 did it, not to mention i think it had a time attack mode as well
All i know is this game better have an extensive reply value or not only will the reviews suffer but so will it sales since everyone will just rent it instead
The only reason multiplayer is important this gen is because games are so expensive to buy

What i find strange is the 360 SKUs were non existant in the amazon charts in Aug while the PS3 was in the top 5 most of the time, yet the 360 beat the crap out of the PS3
The 360 will just continue to built momentum this year with AAA exclusive games like Fable 2, Banjo 3 and Gears 2
