Its been confirmed to be a simulataineous release by SE and MS in NA/EU over and over and OVER again countless times on countless websites if you dont know this by now then clearly you both arent interested in the game

Exclusives on any console are always highly antipated espeically on the 360 where people actual buy games. Since we're talking about amazon practically every 360 exclusive is in the top 100; too human, gears 2 (3 SKUs), IU (yes a JRPG), Banjo, fable 2 (2 SKUs) etc.
But then again no upcoming PS3 exclusive games are in the top 100 except LBP at 98 so i guess some exclusive are more anticipated than others

Wow both limited edition Gears 2 packages are on top at amazon 2 months before their release thats crazy. It wouldnt surprise me if this game beats Halo 3 record for fasting selling exclusive game ever, with 3 SKUs (like Halo 3) and a likely huge market campaign its seems very likely.
i feel sorry for the games releasing near it, like banjo 3 they will be totally eclipised by it

ToV hasnt even been released and the 360 got the biggest boost from Soul Calibur. Next week it will likely outsell the PS3 with the ToV bundle and the continuing decrease in PS3 sales
As the PS3 falls the 360 rises i guess its the turn of the tides

Eventhough it deserves the status of a hardware seller its very unlikely to happen. Hardware sellers are usually sequals to well known franchise or new IPs which are heavly HEAVLY advertised. And since Sony arent to good on the marketing front its unlikely to catch the eye of the intended casual audience

Considering the only JRPG on the PS3 is Folklore thats the only one i can compare sales with.
Folklore = 0.18m
Bluedragon = 0.43m
Lost Odyssey = 0.56m
So i would say JRPGs sale better on the 360 than PS3, even Valkirye Chronicles flopped in Japan for the PS3. And while the install bases are different the attach rate is still better on the 360
Even if the PS3 did have a bigger install by the time of release (which i find very unlikely) the 360s attach rate is still by far the best in the industry and SE stands a better chance of selling more copies with it on the 360.
Not to mention a lot of the PS3s future sales will be bluray player sales not game console sales which wont help SE in any way, while the 360 is only brought as a game console first and foremost
i dont think MS paid for FFXIII to come to the 360 because if they did it would be released in Japan as well, but what i think they did pay for was the simultaneous release
Why cant SE just release the trailers to the public its not like they'd damage the game's chances of success in fact they would likely help build up the hype

Your right when it comes down to it, it all about personal preference. Personally im only interested in gear 2, fable 2, banjo and the JRPGs (if they turn out good) as for the PS3 LBP only interests me.
But so may people say its the year of the PS3 when its clearly not, even though the 360 been out longer its still producing more exclusives, just think back to 07 when it had mass effect, halo 3 , bioshock, pgr4 etc. 2008 should be the PS3's equiverlant to the 360s 07 but its stil...

If Sony market him well enough he might rise to stardom, maybe not Mario or Master Chief stardom but Rachet stardom.
Problem is the casual audience will likely pass on LBP due to the price on of the PS3
