i agree the 360 games are a lot more promising
LBP does look good but a lot of games have had postive press but when the reviews come in they fall short but that may not be the case with LBP
As for 09 MS normally announce games the year they release, i remeber thinking this time last year that 08 will be the year of the PS3 but MS pulled through at the last minute should happen in 09 too

Considering Halo 3 was meant to be a launch title for the 360 but was delayed for 2 years, it only makes sense they start developing it now if they want to guarentee it launch with the xbox720 in 2011/12

Far enough there is a chance Killzone may not need an install but most high profile PS3 games require an install especially exclusives, even Bioshock a year old game needs a install. And i'll say again MGS4 needed 5 installs which i think is just pure crazyiness
So the chances are K2 will need an install since this isnt the PS2 or Naughty Dog we're talking about
Edit: i have played uncharted and the only time the environmemts are 'slightly' large is during the platf...
The reason Uncharted has so little load times is because its a very linear game with quite small environments. Also the lack of load times created a colossal amount of screen tearing

That was with the PS2 which had a DVD drive not a bluray drive. Bluray means longer load times and mantaory installs and Killzone 2 will have one its almost certain
Well in order for a PS3 game to reach its full protential it NEEDS installs. Look at MGS4, the best PS3 game out and it requires five 2-3min installs for each act AND still has multiple load screens
This trend will likely continue as game graphics advance so will the size and amount of installs required
Killzone 2 will likely set a new benchmark for the amount of installs required for a game

Its not like the PS3 is outselling the Wii or the PS3 verison of GTA4 of outselling the 360 version but thats what amazon is showing, someone always has to bring down good 360 news like a price cut

Back when it was annouced in 2005 with FFXIII it was said to take full advantage of the cell, its was only when the SE new they would be porting did this story change

Fable 2 is visually is technically stunning a huge open world with changign seasons, 100s of NPC etc
Now can you tell me a technically stunning PS3 game which isnt just 12hrs long and NOT full of cutscenes OR QTE cutscenes?
Exactly and most 360 exclusive take advantage of the unified 512MB ram which the PS3 doesnt have. Which is why 360 games can be easily ported to the PC and why Gears probably couldnt be made for the PS3 without serious changes
And i dont think many PS3 engines rely on a HDD as standard since why would devs want to make mantatory installs when no one likes them

Well obviously, just like Fable 2, Halo 3, Gears, SSBB or Super Mario Galaxy couldnt of been made for their rival consoles either
All exclusives are built on their platforms strenghts making them practically immpossible to be ported
Considering every console has a SE franchise exclusive to them Kingdom Hearts is the last franchise without a platform annouced, this is why its very likely it will be exclusive to the Wii
Graphics dont make a good game, Bioshock good GOTY by loads of sites and for the record it has great graphics
What im getting at if the fact the the PS3 NEEDS installs to make their games ON PAR with their 360 counter parts. Just imagine if the 360 had a HDD as standard the PS3 would likely be left in the dust!
I just find it amazing that even with a 50GB disc poor 20GB PS3 owners have to install 5GB just to play it, so they can only play 4 games or buy a new harddri...

As much as you likely hate Halo, Halo 3 is still the best online FPS shooter this gen and will likely keep that crown till Halo 4.
While R2 will be good and possibly K2, just by looking at their predecessors they have a LONG way to go before they can hold a candle to the Halo franchise
As for Insomniac being the new Rare i dont see how, just because both made platformer doesnt mean their are similar, but if Insomniac was bought by MS then they might be similar

The only guranteed releases are games which have already been delayed like Killzone.
Well they usually release close to when they are annouced just think Gears of War was annouced when Killzone 2 was annouced and the sequel of GOW is going to release before K2, that should be an indication to how bad the playstation delays always are
