I have a problem with all of the consoles, PS3 just being the lesser of the three evils. There are a lot bigger problems, than an update. That's what "we're" saying. Complaining about the updates is like a kid complaining that the carrots are touching his chicken fingers.
Pfft, seriously? That clown needs to leave IGN.
360's biggest problems:
1. You have to pay for everything you can do for free on PS3.
2. One small tap and the console will shread your game.
3. How Microsoft knew the console would eventually crap out, and made sure to have a "red light" to let you know that you're fuck'd.
I have both. The move was maybe played with once and has been collecting dust since. The Kinect has seen more action, but that's not saying much. Other than Sony sucks at advertising and Microsoft throws away so much money for promotion, is why Kinect sees more spotlight.
Now about the actual hardware, Move just seemed to be copying the Wii (experience wise), only trying to be better (and it was more responsive). But not many games called for it, it's expensive to add...
Looks decent, until shipping cost is factored into it.
To match the 3DS, no. Unless they want to make a very weak profit, there's also advertising/shipping and distribution to think about. The cheapest they would go is probably $220, and that won't be for a long ass time. $200 would never happen. If it does, it'll only happen at the end of the 3DS/Vita console era.
Look at the PSP Go. That's a flop/ end of that console era and Sony is still selling them today for $200. So the Vita's price isn't going anywh...
I don't believe a price drop "can" happen for the Vita. Nintendo went from $250 to $170 because it doesn't cost as much to make. Whereas it costs more to produce the Vita. If Sony had a price drop to match Nintendo's 3DS, they won't be making any money. A better bundle pack is all we can expect. Free games, just like what they did for Plus members earlier this month, also seems like a good promotion.
Honestly, the PS3 had a shaky start, even the 3DS....
I'd say if you didn't get one yet, I say go for it. The extra hour of battery and bigger screens are worth the extra $30 over the original 3DS.
I personally don't think it's worth it, cause I already invested in a Nerf protective case, Screen protecter, and a circle pad pro. It's more portable to my liking and let's face it, I'm probably not going to get much for selling or a trade in.
Edit: Someone metioned for $50 more, you can ...
I'm a huge fan of Nintendo, yet I don't care for the WiiU. Seriously, unless a Zelda was announced, Zombie U would be the only game to look forward to.
I'm sure it'll turn out swell throughout the years, but for the launch, I don't see a reason to get the WiiU.
I feel like the only reason for XBL is because it was out longer, meaning your friends will have it. Luckily, all my friends migrated to the PS3, rendering the 360 useless. Besides, I never felt the online play was any better than PS3, at least not $60 worth. I will concede though, that while being a paid membership, you'll see less douche bags online. And XBL to watch Netflix? Please. Party chat? If you have enough funds to have a 360 AND gold membership, odds are most of your other devi...
Love the effort, but way too late.
By now, most people know to steer clear away from the game altogether. The fact that not many knew about the new patch, doesn't do any good either.
I knew people were going to be rubbed the wrong way. If you read the headline alone, I can definitely see how it could be seen as offensive. But if you had READ the article, the very first paragraph pays a heavy tribute to the real memorial day and honoring real soldiers lost. Some people don't even know the meaning of this day, besides no school/work and have a bbq with friends.
That said, RIP to all those who fought and died for our country.
And on topi...
To sum up the article, the Wii is pretty much dead, which got rid of your casual gamers. What's left are the people who dusted off their Wii consoles and the hardcore fans.
Game wise, the story was completely missing in the middle of the game and flying ultimately didn't lead to anything besides trinkets and one meh battle.
Still a VERY fun game though. You can't get motion gaming that fun anywhere else.
I can't see anyone still excited for this. Three years in the making, and besides Sorcery the playstation move has been forgotten, and this isn't even a metal gear game.
Konami needs to celebrate Castlevania's 25th anniversary.
No, but I'll give them some slack if they make on-disc DLC free.
If you do QTE right, then it can still be fun. Like Heavy Rain.
Otherwise, though somewhat nit picky, I agree with the rest of the list.
Marvel VS. Capcom 2 - Take me for a Ride? That game had the worst music. I felt like I was in a casino, rather than kicking some ass.
Bought Silent Hill a week ago, what with all these new SH releases, I was in the mood.
Figures, out of all the weeks they chose NOW to make it free. Oh well, Konami deserves the $5.99.
Another bad review for Operation Raccoon City on N4G. If this were a drinking game for every time this popped up, I'd be dead of alcohol poisoning.
RE5 should be no where near a top Resident Evil list, but to place RE3 last is even worse. You might as well add Gun Survivor.
