The article said a lot, with not much substance. System description was fine, though not as indepth. For games, I respect his opinion. Though vague, I'm sure he just wanted to touch on the games a little bit, then shift focus back onto the system again. However I get the feeling that he was forcing the experinence. Instead of, "Gee wiz, I can't wait to have fun!"; his mindset was, "This 'better' be fun. Hmm...nope not impressed. Next"
That's a very obnoxious article. Though I didn't know about that bit about Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and sharing DLC.
It just needs a holiday season. But just for kicks, I would like Konami to consider porting Castlevania: MoF to the Vita.
Far Cry 3 looks pretty interesting. By this list, I'm mostly looking forward to Borderlands 2. I'm constantly looking for my Fallout fix. lol
At first I was going to mention why Bioshock Infinite isn't on there, but I forgot that will be released in February. I forgot it was pushed back. : (
Heh, good idea. I should start doing that.
I've just had them spilling over in a drawer along with the clothes receipts.
I do. It's very smart to keep receipts.
New games: incase you find a better deal/find a cool bundle deal; depends on the return policy regarding time period and not opening game.
Gifts: incase friend or family member has the game already.
Used games: Basically Gamestop and still having time to take it back. Last time I ever bought a used game was for Left 4 Dead 2 used, and it had a big scratch on the disc. Without the receipt, I'd be...
Whoa, I was expecting some downloadable game. But most of the Metal Gear games, Castlevania LoS... That's unbelieveable. Am I looking at the right list? I didn't think the 360 version was all that broken from what I heard, it was many the PS3 owners (me).
That's very generous of them.
Heh, it's okay. I was expecting worse feedback. lol
I completely agree that it would be a waste. If we were talking from a gamer/fan's point of view (which we are), we would be excited that TLG is still in the making. But from a production house (Sony or Santa Monica?) who ever is shelling out the money to have this game made, I'd be very pissed that 6 years has gone by, and it's still not released. Again, I'm also aware that sometimes a game goes in hiatu...
To be honest, I would've cancelled the game, if I were in charge. It must have cost a lot to have one year in production; more than three years would be unacceptable under my watch. I'm sure there was a year or so, give or take, where nothing was done. But I just saying realistically, with the way the video game industry is doing, I'm surprised they didn't cancel. Good for them for sticking to it.
That said, I thought both of you would've been used to this...
I was never interested in this game, till I played the HD version of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico collection very recently. I now appreciate what everyone's been excited about. What is it, six years in the making? Props to y'all for waiting from the beginning. I too, am now excited.
That's fine, again I don't care too much either way. I just find it odd if it is true.
I don't really care for it, but it just looks like something that would come with the console. That would be like having to pay for Face Raiders and AR Games for the 3DS. It was a nice distraction, but I could live without it. We even got Wii Sports for free with a Wii purchase in America, so I just find it odd Nintendo Land isn't included with Wii U.
I agree with LOL_WUT. Good luck trying to sell the console.
I'm sure this article became a hot topic because of all the "this article sucks" as opposed to the "i likes boobies" posts. I've seen enough of these articles too, but if you stop making a fuss about them, they'll slowly make their way down the pages and the article will fade away.
Back on topic: I find boobs to be overated, but I completely agree about Soul Caliber. And I'm not sure why people are talking about Sheva. Excella was the one t...
I realize you made an update to your post. That said, DQX will be released for Wii and Wii U. People probably want to wait for the Wii U release, since the Wii itself is at the end of its life. Keeping that in mind, that number is pretty good for only four days and being for the Wii release.
You mentioned the game under performed, how so? The article only covers the sales and nothing about the game itself.
It's profitable because of its monthly subscription and paid-expansion packs. Of course it's going to make more money than any other FF game.
I believe people when they say that it's a fun game, as well as addictive. I also know that it has a deep and very detailed narative. It still should not have been given a numerical title. They should have made it Final Fantasy Online or some creative title; but my opinion doesn't reflect the quality of the game. If a go...
I'm not opposed to prequels or sequels. If done right, they end up very well done...and sometimes they can be really really bad.
Freelancing has forced me to become a casual gamer. Therefore, I have no yet unwrapped Arkham City from its package. Arkham City looked like a lot of time commitment is needed. From what I heard from friends, it's the pinnacle of amazing. I can't see the third game being as successful, taking that experience from Uncharted and GoW. If it...
^ That's what we've all been saying for Final Fantasy XI and XIV.
I was unaware that DQIX did that well. On the outside, it appeared to be empty of story compared to the others. Guess it's true to not judge a book by its cover.
As for DQX, he's merely basing his "Square Enix MMO fail" claim to low sales. I was expecting to hear something bad about the game itself. It's only natural for gamers to wait until the Wii U, before buyin...
I already addressed that when I mentioned the iPod songs.
@Cpt Jack House
Even Gun Survivor and Operation Raccoon City? I'm not including Gaiden.
Resident Evil died when Shinji Mikami left after RE4.
Capcom can do whatever they want to the franchise, I don't care anymore.
"Matt, you haven't played Heavy Rain? You should definitely check it out. Here, borrow my copy. By the way, do you stil have GTA San Andreas? May I borrow it for a little while? I can't find my copy. Thanks."
Not only did this pleasant exchange between friends actually happen within this year, but this scenario can't happen in a DD only world.
I think the only advantage to a digital download is that there's no disc to get scratched. ...
