True, though lots of skill was still involved for the most part. However, that's probably the best way to describe the very last level on the hardest setting; is that you need a lot of luck. lol

Edit: Replace "skill" with "patience".

To be honest, I have no desire to play Rising. I'll bet it's fun, it's just how long it's been in development and watching Raiden chopping up melons all that time; desaturates how I used to feel. However, the idea that Raiden will go up against a Metal Gear Ray, possibly in a Shadow of Colossus style, I find very intriguing.

That and I'll have an excuse to dust off my Move controller.

Edit: To clarify, it's not Raiden or the fact that...

Well, I don't think RE will ever go back to the orginal "pre-rendered" background games. That said, I would like the new entries to be like RE4, where I can appreciate the uncomfortable atmosphere as well as the fun factor. You were alone most of the time, and silence was unsettling, in a good way. RE5 was just run and gun, intense fast action; not scary at all. Even then, it was just an okay game, besides mercenaries.

RE6 looks like the "scary" parts ...

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to sound like I was disagreeing with ya. I was more or less confirming what you already stated and then some of my insight.

I usually deduct points from games or movies, if you need to watch/play previous installments. MGS1 and MGS3 weren't necessary to play previous games, MGS2 was a toss up but you could still enjoy it regardless. Being MGS4 was supposed to be the last game and trying to tie up loose ends; a player ...

Hmm...most of those don't sound so bad. Though I'm one of those people that attempted to do CoD:World at War. The only one that seems hard, is the most talked about one, with the iPod songs.

Regardless, I can't wait to start hunting for these trophies.

Honestly, I skimmed through the article. I'm sure the next FallOut will be just as enjoyable. I'm really excited to know what the next major city will be. NYC might be a little too crowded, for my taste, but perhaps London would be an interesting choice.

FO3, I felt like I could beef up all of my stats, but New Vegas gave me more reason to start over because customization was more "limited" (I guess that's the best way to put it). I'd be interested i...

Heh, thought everyone forgot about this movie. I enjoyed Degeneration to an extent, at least these CG movies are better than the American movies.

I thought MGS1 for PS1 and Snake Eater were the best for various reasons. I still had a lot of fun with MGS4.

I have a few hang ups about the story, but the thing I like most was that it gave you the choice on whether you're into running and gunning or into stealth. Based on your playing style. I wouldn't call this game "perfect", cause you really needed to know the previous installments to understand the story, but it was still a fun game. ^^

The bosses weren't as impressive as previous installments. Liquid Ocelot fist fight was very epic though.

I'm just glad they added trophy support, it'll give me a reason to play MGS4 again.

I'll definitely give this game a try. I was in love with DQ8 and how beautiful the cel shaded world was for console. Not sure how well the online aspect will be.

I saw the August 2nd release date, thinking that was for here in the US. Silly me for being too excited. lol

There's too many articles about this, so instead of arguing; I am amazed that within such a short amount of days, they raised that much money. O_o

I'm sure it'll be a blast and I'd love to see what they'll do at a Gay Gamer Convention. It'll be cool to see gay indie game developers or game characters that happen to be gay, get presented.

4941d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

lol at all the straight people. Fine, let's try it this way. For the people thinking there's no use for a gay gaming convention: Google "gay gaming convention" or "gay comic book convention" (preferably Bent-Con), see what they do at said conventions, then come back here.

First of all, probably none of you will do that because (a) you're too lazy (b) don't want to see half naked guys kissing. Stop thinking of it as a regular Game Con, just ...

@Lord_Sloth

It'll be moot for me ask "well, have you ever been to one?", when I myself have never attended one. But do you know what "gay" versions of movie, TV show, or comic book conventions look like? The dress code becomes very "loose", artists that attend and present drawings of *let me think of an example* a sexy version of Mario and Luigi kissing, or a way to introduce indie games that involve gay developers and/or homosexual character...

There's no "straight" parades because straight people "can" get married. 2010 finally had every state in the US that allows gays to adopt and I believe it was 2011 where gays can join the military now. If gays never spoke up, nothing would've happened.

On topic, I don't really have an opinion about the gay gamers convention. I'm gay, but I don't care to go to one. At the same time, is it hurting anyone? Maybe they want to talk about hot...

@sak500: What the hell are you talking about? The past two comments you made to Qrphe made no sense at all.

4942d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Who are you referring to? The mass majority of the comments are basically get political agenda out of gaming. GTA4's Gay Tony was gay, but didn't push gay marriage onto you. I thought that was done right, just treating people like people. The updated note also let's you know, not to judge the article based on the title, just incase there were some comments that were heated.

Just incase you were referring to my previous comment in this thread, that guy wasn't t...

Other than sex organs, what exactly makes a man a man and what makes a woman a woman? I may be gay, but I'm more of a man than the lot of straight men out there. Some of you straight guys probably don't know how to camp in the wilderness or make a lasting camp fire properly. In turn, I hate to shop, watch emotion love stories/chick flicks, and don't care about the design of my curtains or clothes. None of those things should determine masculine or femenine activities in the first ...

At first, I wanted Final Fantasy to die, before anymore harm comes to it.

But I've been liking what they were doing, with the FF3 and FF4 DS remakes. I'd like to see FF5 and FF6 done the same. And sorry to those who care, but I'm happy with my FF7-FF9 unaltered, for PSone games for the PSP. I am however, looking forward to seeing FFX HD. To think, we'll be able to play FF1-FFX all on portable consoles.

Operation Raccoon City, definitely.

It was mercenaries and in the best setting in the RE universe. How could so much go wrong? Not to knock on Slant Six, but for Capcom's need to outsource; to save money and knowing they'ld still make a shit ton at the same time.

I did find it silly about certain actions in Heavy Rain, but nothing I would consider a "disappointment" for the over all game.

FallOut New Vegas was fun. Not that many memorable spots or side quests, but again, nothing I'd consider disappointing. Just different.
