Regardless of if its PSN or XBL, do we really need an article every time one of these things hiccups? For god sake they are server farms, sometimes they hiccup! When you consider the amount of traffic on both systems I would say both are pretty darn reliable. Lets give it a rest shall we?

Nobody would "buy Sony" as the debt leverage is too high. The most likely scenario, and its a longshot is Sony files for bankruptcy protection and has to dismantle and sell off its assets to cover liabilities. Asset acquisition yes, brand buy out? No.

I personally have a hard time when a console only gamer refers to him/herself as hardcore. To me a hardcore gamer is willing to pay top dollar to experience a game in the way it was meant to be played. Please let me know in what year Halo had 3 installments. It is on Halo 5 in its 3rd generation. ODST and Reach also were not released the same year. UC I believe has a higher level of saturation with 1,2&3 coming out last generation alone as well as a Vita game. Each game was Nathan Drake whereas Reach and ODST are not Master Chief games at all. In fact ODST was first considered DLC.

Honestly I rarely buy a game because it may have multiplayer. I look for a strong single player experience. If I want MP, I look towards EQ2, PS2 or Titanfall. That's about all I need.
