I agree with you completely and also sold my ps4. With my PC, X1 and WiiU the thing collected dust. I will rebuy it when it has games that I enjoy, they fix the cheap controller and it has a price drop. Good hardware, dull game selection in my opinion for now.

I think for 2 consoles being in their first year they both did pretty well. Both had at least a couple exclusives that were good and a ton of multiplat games. The WiiU had the best games of the year (subjective), but its in its 2nd year and after the 1st year drought it needed to step up. I cant wait to see what games come in 15 for PC, X1, Ps4 and WiiU,.. it should be great!

It isn't that I don't like indie games, its just that 90% of them are junk. I buy consoles and build high end PC's for the AAA experience. It amazes me to hear the PS4 guys talk like AAA exclusives were coming out like clockwork all year long. I got tired of Street Fighter on the SNES. SF4 and its 97 variants last generation were enough to make me sick of it for a lifetime. Its great you enjoy it, that doesn't mean everyone does.

I don't think you have to worry about X1 fans being salty when they have 2 racing games that are both better than driveclub. A year late, broken online, missing basic features, crappy AI, limited cars with no customization. Yeah, I'm sure X1 fans are salty /s. There is no penalty, no lie going on. 343 is doing an outstanding job with the Halo franchise. A lie would be more like saying your game is 1080p or there will be a free edition.
MS doesn't have to beat Sony, they just have to deeply cut into their market share. If they capture the US and UK by a respectable margin it hurts an already ailing company.
Personally I don't care who wins just so my consoles have support with exclusives. I don't care about 90% of indie games and multiplat on PC for better graphics and framerate. I only care about exclusives and MS has the resources to keep them coming.

Not trying to be a troll here but really the answer is to develop games that the limited power of both systems can handle in the first place. This seems to be the generation where gameplay takes a complete backseat to graphics.
