I didn't actually read the article but I'm going to throw this out there as a guess.
So Oblivion was rushed, huh. Right. As for the PS3 port having all that extra time to cook making it better makes sense and I already knew that because it works like that for any game. But since they took the time to make a game on PS3 already what I was saying is how come they supposedly don't know how to anymore? Maybe there was a fire in the company building and they lost all the PS3 code? :)
Saved games are not in the same install file that can be deleted when a person beats the game. The install takes between 5 and 10 minutes and it doesn't require any assistance - so you don't have to sit next to the system turning a knob or something while it works, and because you can start the install then go do anything for a moment and come back after a few minutes so it is there waiting for you, the people who complain about this really have issues.

I think it is a reviewers responsiblity to let the public know the truth, but in many cases (including this one) I wonder what the "powers that be" are behind changes in stance? Considering Oblivion ran smoother on PS3 when it finally was released this turn of events doesn't sound like fair game, and maybe Microsoft actually got more than just exclusive DLC from Bethesda on this one.

I had the Collector's Edition for the PS3 version totally paid for, ready to pick up, and after checking out how great Bethesda made Oblivion for PS3 I didn't think this would happen. Something doesn't smell right.

Having played some bad games in the past that actually deserve a 5 out of 10 I have to disagree with this review. It's things like this that influence comments about the "metacritic" average and honestly SOCOM is much better than this.
At comment 2.2 you said you wonder why the retailer would display this system like that, but it's a big store and I'm sure it's nobodys job to monitor the 360 on display every moment of the day for overheating issues. Maybe if Microsoft paid for an extra employee to sit in front of the display all day to make sure this won't happen it would be taken care of in time so customers won't see it and take pictures, but this is just a possible risk the company has to deal with otherwise. There are so many games on that list I might have lost count, but add to that the PSN games and that is a ton of exclusives. Even if Sony loses 4 or 5 of that game total to multiplatform releases it's still an absurd ammount. But I wonder if half of those games will see a release outside of Japan?
I thought this new Motorstorm would have been better even if it was the same with just more of it.
Only improvement I do notice is during the beta it seemed to have a bit of screen tearing at times and the disc copy hasn't done that for me yet. The load times to start a match have been reduced from the beta also.
Wouldn't be the shopping season without PS3 bashing running rampant on the internet. Some things never change.
