Xbox One Day One as well!
Pre-ordered a PS4 for launch as well, but debating. I don't see a real reason to keep the pre-order. No games I want to play, and basically all the features are on Xbox One and more.
So at the time of this writing, 14 people (disagreed) thinks a business shouldn't benefit both consumers and the company.

What are businesses? Charity?
I find a $199 PS3 a great deal!
Just buy a hard drive when you need it.

If he/she truly wants to use multiple consoles, then one account can sign in on many consoles.
Now, if you want multiple consoles and multiple accounts without paying, you have to add a step. On the other consoles (other than the main one), sign in on the account that has XBL Gold, then sign in with the account you want to use.
Bam! Problem solved and you saved money over the family plan!
I was just about to say that. It is a two way street. It has to be good for both the company (and by extension the employees) as well as customers.

Jokes aside, it's nice to see MS is getting better a getting their message across.
Gold Home is new, where any account can share XBL Gold features on your designated console.
Sony doesn't do that on the PS3 (i.e. cloud saves aren't available for everyone on the same PS3 even though one of the accounts has a PSN+), and I don't know what the plans are for PS4.
My guess it will just be the same on PS4 as on PS3. The status quo.
Family sharing would have been so awesome with the games. Instant sharing, and not limited to the physical disc.
Instead we now went back to the stone age with reliance on physical disc. We just got set back half a decade!

Isn't the point of a demo to get people to try it so they will buy the game?

That is assuming the game doesn't from hard drive, in which case you run into bandwidth limitation and potentially trashing of hard drive.
I think streaming is unlimited, but recording seems like it should be done to RAM go prevent said problem, thus limited time. The more time, and the higher resolution/quality, the more RAM it eats and less for games.
MS hires a team to attempt to enforce civility on Xbox Live.
Heck, go to the support page and you get several options to get help:
* call MS directly
* chat with MS directly
* chat with an Ambasssador (non MS staff to help)
* twitter your help request and get response
* forums
So yeah, MS makes a huge effort in trying to give you excellent customer service. No other console maker does this.

Once technology reaches a certain point, having more of it doesn't matter much.
As it is, both the Xbox One and PS4 severely lacks in processing power relative to RAM needs i.e. there isn't enough processing power to take advantage of the RAM.
Would 12 GB RAM be nice? sure! Will it make a significan difference? No!
4 teraflop GPU would do though!
When Sony had free PSN, it was MS charges you for online play, the other half of your game. Bastards!

Xbox Live Gold users have been happily paying it seems and feel they get the value. Nothing has really changed, most online features has been behind a paywall from the start.
Perhaps, the Sony loyalist should speak up about the charging of online play on P...

I think the innovation will definitely come with the Kinect One, especially being sold with every Xbox One.
Imagine if the Wii was sold with a regular controlle instead of the wii motion remote.
I'm really excited to see what awesomness Kinect One will bring.
and as you said, if you don't like Kinect, just get a PS4, but leave me to enjoy Kinect!

I will wait and see if there is a reason to keep the PS4. It was through amazon, so easy to cancel.
