Xbox One has 15-20 MS Game Studio exclusives. This means, games like Titanfalls and Ryse isn't part of those 15 games.

Get with the program!

When a Sony game does it, it is pure gaming bliss and not quick time events.

When MS does it, it is the devils work!

@aiBreeze:

Except 99% of the games released for either console is a multiplatform game available on both.

What differentiates the consoles are just a handful of exclusive games and a few features otherwise.

That is a really old way of thinking. Consoles are no longer used for *just* gaming, like a very small group of people want it.

Xbox One is just a PS4 with a few more bells and whistles and Kinect added. Even the hardwar...

You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. It's like saying, what if all humans did their best in communism? It would work, but humans is also the reason it won't work!

That is why most of the riches that come to communistic countries, are from being more capitalistic!

Point being, the human element which companies are made of, causes co-operation for the sake of "the better good" without any form of compensat...

@Gameratheart:

You have a point!

Fact of the matter is, nvidia is worth almost 4 times as much as AMD. nvidia also has far more profitability, stability and better economy than AMD.

If you look at AMD, their weakness continues to show. Did you know AMD is now worth less (about half) of what it paid to acquire ATi to gain the GPU business?

That consistently shows you how bad AMD is in their decision. A company that is a major ...

I like polygon. They are one of the few websites that post pretty neutral news. More of them, less of no name blog sites rehashing old news sprinkled with opinion.

"They shouldn't have invested so much in Kinect to begin with. The software attach ratio for Kinect is very very low. It's clear gamers don't care for it."

Really?

Because MS has sold over 3 million Kinect Sports and over 2 million Dance Central. That is more than many hardcore games on a much smaller user base.

I for one is glad MS is investing in new technology to welcome us into the future...

You do realize the UK and US is the two largest console gaming markets in the world, right?

"Well.. to be fair.

One can also argue that the ps3 was the top selling console in japan, korea, hong kong, singapore, phillipines, france, germany, italy, etc etc for so many consecutive months compare to 360's success in only 1 country."

Well to be *really* fair.

The combined marketshare of
all those countries listed is a fraction of the largest console gaming market in the world, the US!

I hope the PS4 controller also feels better, because the PS3 controller is a cramp fest every time.

For me the Xbox 360 controller only had a d-pad problem and I rarely had issues, since I don't generally play games that use it. Glad it is fixed tbough!

The PS4 OS is based on FreeBSD and is designed to run like a traditional OS. It won't be as robust as running a hypervisor and VMs like MS is doing. This really has to be designed with instant switching in mind from the start, otherwise it might not even be possible.

The 3 OS solution that MS is using is completely self contained, and if one crash it won't affect another. It is very robust and sound way of doing it.

Point being, why are poor articles like this approved?

What about the people that approved the article?

Proof n4g needs a huge overhaul!

Don't sweat it. Fact of the matte is, this is a "feature" the vast majority won't use.

Most people will just hook up the Kinect One and enjoy it. They will see the benefit and share it with friends and family.

This is just to shut up the conspiracy theorists and they are far and few between. They just have a very loud voice.

4625d ago 4 agree7 disagreeView comment

That is BS.

The Kinect has advanced technology to filter, and process the recorded sound. Do that on the CPU and it will take significant power to do accurate recognition. Anyone using the current Kinect knows the voice recognition is among the best.

That is why voice recognition on smart phone usually requires the cloud.

If you ever tried voice recognition games on a headset, it is vastly inferior to Kinect. Kinect One will be even better!

MS can change their mind down the line, but it is very unlikely at this point.

Why compete on price, when you can compete on features, ease of use, games and platform?

I hope MS sticks to it's guns and I think once consumers get a taste of it, they will love Kinect One. It will be sleeper hit like the Wii!

The Wii was so popular that Nintendo cut all marketing, because word of mouth carried product sales to out of stock everywhere.

The conspiracist with thinfoil hat is actually a very small minority. Think of Facebook and Google with privacy? Do people use FB or Google Search?

Thought so!

Fact of the matter is the vast majority, once they get over the FUD being spread the convenience of Kinect One will win them over.

There was no privacy concern when about one third of the Xbox 360 user base bought a $150 accessory.

The Wii was virtually ignored until r...

I think the usual fangirls on n4g are upset because MS is correcting every single criticism they can launch at Xbox One.

If MS released a Kinectless SKU, the PS4 would be in serious trouble. However, I hope Xbox One will take off with Kinect One. I want to see the innovation come to fruition!

In fact, it surprises me how nimble a large company like MS is, responding to things so fast. It speaks volumes about Xbox division management.

@xReDeMpTiOnx:

Actually, historically Sony has been backloading their games i.e release more and more games as the generation goes on. Whereas MS has front loaded their games, i.e. had more games upon release and let third parties at the end.

That is why PS4 launch lineup is pretty weak right now.
