@KonsoruMasuta:
Your video is a low res choppy video. How are you suppose to evaluate anything based on that when the source itself is laggy, not to mention single game isn't reflective of the technology.
Imagine a laggy game that frequently drops framerates, does that mean all controller based games will suck?
That said, here is a video showing almost zero lag:

A launch game at 35% done now?
Really?
No wonder Sony is giving this game away. It doesn't look good, isn't even close to being finished and likely will be rushed to completion. They should be polishing the game right around now and not building out core functionality.
I hope I'm wrong, but it seems dead *prior* to arrival.
If you want racing, get Forza 5 or GT6.
@KonsoruMasuta:
"The input on a controller may be more limited than the kinect but it's more responsive. And it will remain like that for years to come."
As I said, the controller is entirely based on twitch gaming. That doesn't apply to full body motion. How fast can you shoot or dodge in real life?
Point being, lag and response time is hugely important in controller based games, but not motion tracking once you reach a poi...
@vigilante_man:
"Why don't they just buy Sony out?"
Because MS would have to buy a company (Sony) that has serious debt, hasn't been profitable in ages, seeing their marketshare erode in almost all business sectors and had to sell their investment (read expensive buildings) and turn it into an expense to turn a profit on their balance sheet.
Does that sound like a company you would buy?
To be fair up to 75% profit margin isn't uncommon in most retail like industries.
It accounts for staff, retail location and expenses. That of course ignores that many games don't sell back either, netting storage cost as well as value depreciation on the traded in game.
All four one!
@n4rc:
It is called Kinect Sports, not Kinect Eats!
There are no fit fat people, and chubby isn't exactly desirable to most.
So yes, you are right. Can't wait to see how cartoony handsome I will be! Remember ladies, in real life, I look even better!
:D
I like the Metro look. It is very clean, simple and easy to read.
Most other recent UI, is extremely hard to read and is messy.
As cgoodno said, until something better is shown, Metro is da sh!t.
Titanfall is going to be the bomb!
Wouldn't surprise me if it is going to be like the next Halo or Cod in public acceptance. It looks just so good, but I also can't wait for Quantum Break. Damn it looks good, and from Remedy!!!
I will start with Ryse and Watchdogs, but likely pick up CoD. If BF4 has a great campaign, then might pick that up as well KI and Project Sparc is f2p so those are a huge on my list to try.
Not huge on racing, so Forza is on the fence, but it looks damn good!
Too bad about Kinect Sports Rivals delay, otherwise I would have picked that up too.
When you are moving your entire body, lag isn't as noticeable.
When you are flicking a small analog and achieving a big motion on screen, lag is extremely noticeable. However, if you move that same analog stick 10 times the distance, to achieve the same motion, the lag is almost imperceptible. Why? Because it takes time to move the distance, which is more realistic.
Now of course that is a crude example, because Kinect One can now give you additional inpu...
So that is still cheaper to get Killer Instinct in full than buy a brand new release game in-store like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
Sounds like relatively fair pricing to me.
@abzdine:
"in other words, a demo will be available day one. what a bunch of cheaters, calling it full game with one character."
I know you are easily confused so let me break it down to you.
A fighting game demo, usually ...
That is why when XNA was released half a decade ago and allowed you to create games directly on your Xbox 360 was such a big deal.
These dev kits are way overpriced, and used as a means to keep real garage indie devs from developing on your platform. In some cases, the console manufacturer will deny you a dev kit even if you pay for it. That is how the maintain control.
Sony has consistently overcharged you for dev kits since the first Playstation and extends...
Wow, n4g just reach a new low.
Does it really hurt you fangirls that much that consumers get two consoles and pick what platform they want to buy games at?
I pre-ordered both a PS4 and an Xbox One. So take that fangirls! Deal with it!!!
The tides are turning and MS is making huge strides to closing that value/price gap between PS4 and Xbox One. The Kinect One as an added value just became humungous!
This is huge news and wish they would do something similar for the US (or North America region).
@newmonday:
"it's going to be close to impossible to make the the XB1 standout technically in a way that will impress core gamers, because other than Kinect the specs are inferior across the board compared to the PS4,"
That is what was said about the Xbox 360 and PS3, and we know how that story went. That is of course, ignoring the fact that console market has changed signficantly from being game centric, to be more of an all around entertainmen...
So how has this entertainment focus, changed video games for the core for the worse?
All I'm seeing is major features related to gaming, and some of the best games for any console.
Do you just have problems because instead of calling it a videogme console, you will have to refer to it as an entertainment console?
It seems odd to me that people are complaining about extra ability. If you wanted the best games hardware could buy, it would ...
@ForgottenProphecy:
Fact of the matter is that if you "consider" Titanfalls (or games in general) an exclusive or not is immaterial.
It is all about, if the games are good. Would it matter to you if there were 200 crappy exclusives?
It is ultimately about content quality.
That said, for me the favorite games are:
Quantum Break, Titanfalls, Ryse and Watchdogs.
In that order.
@edonus:
I'm with you. I don't see how anyone can claim Ryse isn't the most graphically visually best game of any next generation games.
Ryse is a monster when it comes to graphics! In fact, monsters of all monsters.
It might be, but it is insignificant standing next to PC. If that is it's claim to fame, then it is utterly a failure.
Focus on games, features and value. You can't beat PC for power!
