Where?

I want some $$$$$$!

@ShwankyShpanky:

"They may be cheap, but they are not free or a "given" for every game."

No, but they are heavily subsidized, which practically means every game. If a developer creates serious multiplayer experience, they have to compete and hence dedicated server is a requirement.

MS Azure cloud is practically free, because you only spin up as much servers as you need. That is one of the many powers of the cloud combined ...

Seriously?

You still doubt them?

Take a look at the *facts*, not the rumors!

* specs upgraded

* fcc approval of Xbox One prior to PS4 (i.e. prior to July 22)

However, fangirls will claim production problems, why is MS hiding and MS are lying. The same usual suspects, when the facts are out by MS officials. Straight from the horses mouth!

I frankly do NOT think MS could say anything and be bel...

They are all rumor, and different dates for different regions aren't unknown and hence different reports.

You can typically expect US to get earliest release so I can't wait!

Well having almost unlimited processing power asynchronously certainly opens up many new opportunities.

Even Mark Cerny himself is now exploring the cloud and admitting they don't know enough to make a judgment yet.

We already know the cloud is being used for physics in Titanfalls on Xbox One.

So news sources has newer been wrong before?

People never fabricate news? There has never been wrong information in the news affecting stock market?

Contrary to fanboys suggesting Xbox One has low demands, if MS wanted they could use this as an excuse if sales turn out to be low. Instead they say, no production issues. We just increased the clock cycle and specs on our hardware.

Does facts line up with rumor?

Until more offi...

It is a timed exclusive just like Gears of War right?

Point being we don't know the backroom dealings and the reasons.

You never know, it might not even be possible on PS4 without the cloud infrastructure that MS has. This has already been hinted at by Respawn when Sony didn't come back with a solution to their cloud needs:

"This is something I[John Shiring of Respawn] have worked on for years now, since coming to Respawn. A deve...

No, what is meant to say is Respawn themselves are not creating the Xbox 360 version. Titanfalls is being ported to Xbox 360 by another team, not directly affiliated with Respawn.

Digital Foundry: Can't you say anything about the Xbox 360 version at this point?

Drew McCoy: Other than we're having someone else do the porting of it.

Imagine if devs dismissed multi-core CPUs if it is too difficult back in the day?

Mr. Cerny, your job is to find out if "cloud" computation for physics is worth it.

The one question Sony should ask their spies is why is MS investing billions into the cloud for Xbox One?

You don't invest billions unless there is something there.

Also, Titanfalls devs seems to think it is worth it:

Digital Foundry...

The more I see, the more I'm confused. I still don't know what this game is?

The world looks interesting though, bur the little game play I have seen looks bland, very bland.

Kinect voice *is* far better than turning on the controller and navigating the menu.

It's about convenience.

It's not hard to take the bus, or use a wired controller. However, the vast majority prefer their own car or using a wireless controller.

It doesn't take a idiot to get that!

4613d ago 2 agree22 disagreeView comment

I bet the reason why the camera isn't included is because Sony can't compete with MS in this area. MS is pioneering Kinect, and their implementation is as good as it gets for the price.

Two cameras for depth tracking is worse than the original Kinect implementation.

There is a reason why this hasn't been shown at all.

Sony most likely figured, being $100 cheaper is better than showing a crap product. When all else fail, compete on...

@Kobe357:

it can also be the difference of 1 and 2 million.

That said, there are so many factors coming into play. Remember the PS3?

Sold out everywhere, but the market quickly collapse and out of nowhere the Wii was a huge hit! Outsold everything else and it wasn't even on the pre-order radar!

Todays console is a lot more than just the niche core market....

If MS listened and removed Kinect, the Xbox One would just be a barely upgraded Xbox 360 with a little more pixels on screen i.e. it would be a PS4.

If that is all I wanted, then I would get a PC. It's graphics is superior NOW to whatever Xbox One or PS4 can dish out in three months!

@kneon:

The layout isn't to accommodate your symmetry, but rather what you are likely to use when gaming.

For instance, right hand people prefer to use their right hand!

Because you have two hands, doesn't mean you use both for every task, but rather what is more comfortable. This is then extended to what is most comfortable for the vast majority, despite what it seems otherwise and has something to do with how you use the controller....

Although I disagree with many of the changes and wanted the original vision, it shows MS listens and take feedback.

It also shows me how nimble MS is for such a large company. That really re-inforces the strength MS has in responding to consumer (although wrong belief) of what they want.

Everybody makes mistakes, but it is how you respond to them that is important. How you recover!

Instead of having companies tell you to get a second job, whe...

Fact of the matter are public companies like AMD cannot lie to the public. They can attempt to misrepresent, yet speak the truth.

Unfortunately, for the fangirls, right from the horses mouth, AMD said:
