It is definitely a double edge sword. Wait and you have a better product, but your competition is eating your pie.
I say, wait for the release, and push it hard with a stable and ready system when you do. These countries will love Kinect and voice recognition, as long as it works well in their language.
That said, I'm in one of the affected countries and imported my Xbox One. Been enjoying it for some time now. :D
I remember when people was supporting it despite it not providing any value what so ever.
What I found ironic is that the article like so many right now, completely ignore Sony's wrongs. The article is quick to criticize EA and Ubisoft for the Online Passes, yet ignore Sony whom is the first first party studios to fully support online passes.
This is a similar situation to when MS charged for online gaming, it was an issue and if premium features is what ...
Ironically, digital games would have been cheaper under MS old digital only model. Why?
Retail games would have been digital, but with a disc (you don't need) and a case. This means, whatever retailers do now with sales, or off loads to their games, they would have done to the digital copies back then.
Because people screamed so hard we don't want that, we are back to the old de-facto standard. Almost any game on console found digital on *ANY* platfor...
I agree, taking off the network to maintain or update is very last gen. In fact, for MS it is almost the generation before last gen.
This sort of thing should be rare, not on a monthly basis. Sony needs to update PSN asap!
Maybe CoD will die when the original creator launches their the next game, Titanfall.
Personally I like CoD. Don't understand the hate towards it.
Heck, why can't I enjoy my game without people pissing on it?
I think this proves that Xbox One is selling like hotcakes, even at a $100 more. I think gamers get the console in their hand that the buzz is working.
I think however though, that the real test will be next year and it starts with Titanfall and onwards. The early years of the Xbox 360 wasn't that great, but as it gained momentum and PS3 fizzled. Likewise, the Wii U had a huge momentum, but sadly quickly fizzled as well.
Point being, it is too early to tell,...
Why wait for E3?
The most anticipated game next year, Titanfalls, is out in March!
Can you tell I am excited?
😃
That said, showing games, but waiting for the release is agonizing. Then it is released and no time to play! 😠
lol!!!!
I think it is ridiculous that now we get these different dlc exclusives on different platforms. That said, I prefer this on Xbox One rather than the Deja Vu one for the PS4.
The best thing was Titanfalls and Quantum Break trailers for me. Cannot wait!
The akward hosts and setting of VGX though was off putting.
It is sad, when a GOTY performed poorly. I hope Eidos gives us a cheap $10 upgrade on next generation console, since I bought the digital version of Tomb Raider on Xbox 360.
Still haven't had time to try it.
he went from the unluckiest and stupid man, to, luckiest man.
I'm of course leaving out the stupidest part. :D
For the record, I don't think he was stupid, just careless.
Nintendo lacked game at launch too, and the 3DS was about to tank when released, only to recover magnificently while the PS Vita is tanking faster than lead blocks in the ocean. So yes, Reggie is right.
However, I'm seeing plenty of great games on Xbox One and PS4 from third parties and multiplatform games, let alone a stellar first party line up.
As soon as March, I will get Titanfalls. I cannot wait for that game, and likely will spill the beans on the...
I'm confused about this game. What is the point of it?
Also, the art looks cool, but the game looks meh. Something out of a PS2 game. Graphics isn't everything, as I still play the original StarCraft and it looks beatiful, but I'm not so excited.
More excited for Quantum Break and their TV show tie-in, or Titanfalls.
None of the indie games so far has impressed....
The single player campaign in CoD is among the best, and CoD4:MW has some of the most memorable missions. Who doesn't love Ghillies in the Mist?
I trust the creator of CoD: MW series to deliver one of the best campaigns AND multiplayer experience. Hands down!
If you know the history of video games, and how it practically pushed the original Xbox forward, you would know the importance of EA and their (sport) franchises.
Point being, you need AAA developers.
@poolio
In Nintendo's defense, although they take their sweet time making games, their first party games are almost always universally acknowledged as great games.
Personally, I didn't mind the DRM, my console is almost always connected anyhow, and as long as I remember, I have not been without internet for 24=hours.
If I did, I likely would have other problems.
There is nothing wrong with wanting launch parity for us Xbox One gamers. I don't want to be treated as second class citizens.
Why should I have to put up with that? If you are a dev that does that, you can go suck it, because I don'...
...or MS is just trying to ensure that gamers on Xbox One get equal treatment like other platforms?
There is literally about two handfulls of reports. Go on the reddit article and see for yourself, it is literally 6 comments as of this writing

I haven't experienced this. MIght be some rare bug that only affects a small portion of users.
Not just that, but once you ramp it up, you just don't ramp down either.
The demand right now is artificially high due to launch and then going into Christmas, so this is the highest demand part for a while, until the next holiday, so don't expect blockbuster sale for any console manufacturer after Christmas.
Ramping up can cost a lot if they are unable to shift those consoles next year, and that undoubtedly will happen.
