Haters will hate, but this is competition!
If we did it buy what game developers and publishers wanted, we would only buy a game year because that is all we could afford!
@darkride66
Isn't exactly known to be a pro Xbox 360 and more like the opposite, so I wouldn't really expect you to be excited about the next Xbox.
However, I'm sure you didn't mind PSN after it was hacked.
"Maybe you should pursue the "American Dream" and BUY your own home then instead of pay rent to someone else and make them richer."
Tell that to all those people who bought their homes in 2005-2007 in the US!
Only some people get richer, the vast majority don't realize they are getting poorer owning a home. Simply because they never consider *all* the costs, and only see the final selling price of the home.
Once you ac...
I own all three, and only use Wii occasionally for the crazy parties and Xbox 360/Kinect for almost everything else.
The PS3 get's little use purely just because I don't have time to play all the games and I like online gaming with Xbox Live better.
So there is a case for just owning one system due to time constraint and if you only care about certain things. All systems have their strength and weaknesses. Pick your poison!
You are right.
This is bad for companies like EA and Valve who try to push their own store so they have their own agenda.
On the other hand, what is good for consumer is typically one place to buy stuff. I don't want to choose from Valve, Origin, Games for Windows, Stardock and so on.
That said, I really see this as a positive step. If the app store is good, then we use that. If the app store is bad, then we can still use Valve, Origin o...
I only want to talk to people serious about online gaming anyhow. This weeds them out.
@LAZL0-Panaflex:
Did you just use one of your troll accounts on me?
"Other than gears and subpar halo you got nothing. A better dashboard and cross game chat big deal."
This has nothing to do with Xbox. Perhaps you should try and troll a more related comment.
I was going to say the same thing. At least make it the crappy Android, not the walled garden of iOS.
Ideally, it would be Windows (Phone) 8 instead.
@Ult iMate:
The fact of the matter is that you are too busy protecting your favorite company this entire conversation that you can't see or comprehend anything else.
Nintendo has done a wonderful supporting their handheld lately with a proper plan with the type of games people like to see on it for their kids. The device is well targeted.
"you are playing platforms and sales but not games"
PS Vita has completely...
"ME2 had a story which was more about learning things imo (strange considering ME1 should teach more) like the Collectors, Cerberus and the merc gangs."
Parts of the story was uninterresting. For instance, the Collector's weren't that interresting compared to the Reapers or Protheans. The way the story unfold was far more entertaining. The original ME had a uber epic story and the choice given at the end about the council was pretty awesome.
...
I enjoyed Cerberus immensely. I just felt ME2 lacked a lot of the mystery, story telling and of course the distinction between the classes weren't as good (i.e. the RPG elements).
In my opinion, the first ME by far had the best story line and the way it was told. ME2 lacked a lot what distinguished the classes from each other and the story line was so so.
Have you played through the first ME?
@Ult iMate:
"Dokuro, MGS HD, Katamari, Rayman, some fightings, a whole bunch of downloadable games. Project Diva f, Persona 4, Assasin's Creed, Oddworld, Ys Celestia Sea of Trees to come."
and none of those games are really worth playing as evident by their sales. None of those games makes it worth owning a $250 handheld.
In fact, I would sooner buy a 3DS.
Let's face it, PS Vita is second fiddle and only get...
@Ult iMate:
Nobody is denying Sony is releasing "some" games for the PS Vita. I'm talking about real support not just internally, but also externally from third parties.
You get them by reaching out to them and enticing them to produce content. Also, the games on PS Vita from first party is mostly just PS3 rehashes.
People need a reason to own a PS Vita. Otherwise, they just play the superior version on PS3.
I like Forza, so I'm glad it is Forza >Horizon.
@Awesome_Gamer:
It's a selling point, because when PSN released it was far inferior than Xbox Live and a overpriced PS3. There is no way they could have justified it.
With PS Vita (or PSP for that matter), it is hardly as popular as the 3DS so they need another selling point.
The PS3 still has strong enough branding to include a pay-to-play subscription with the PS4 release. It's a vicious cycle otherwise for Sony, as customers pay an...
@acharlez:
Once crappy culture takes over in the company, it is next to impossible to get rid of it. It would be just like cockroaches that freaken survives every thing.
If you look at the PS Vita, it almost exactly mirrors PSP, PSP Go, and PS3 release!
Thought Sony learned a lesson? Think again!
What is really nice about Xbox Live is MS is the only one on console or even when you include PC online services, that actually has a team of paid employees that moderate the online network.
They handle everything from cheating, abusive language, scammers, child related cases and banning of said users.
MS also tries to have Xbox ambassadors (read volunteers doing it for reward) that attempts to help others with practically any question. They are really tryin...
I think an Xbox 8 with the whole infinity (from the 8 sideways) is pretty cool.
Xbox Infinity!
Yeah, I'm really wondering about that. The average selling price of the Xbox 360 is really high and they haven't had a price drop for 3-4 years while the competition each have had at least, some two and maybe a third one soon.
MS is definitely going for profit here and so does Nintendo it seems with the imminent release of Wii U and no price drop on Wii in sight.
