Keyboard actually house pressure sensitivity? I've encountered this playing Need for Speed and could definately control the pace of my veichle by pressing lightly or hard on the drive key.

I'm sorry to blow your bubble, but Activision is not directly involved with Call of Duty development. They have certain business schemes that must be coordinated with the game, but the game is the developers creations - not activisions.
The gameplay being fairly "generic" is a keypoint. Unreal Tournament is generic, Quake is generic. Being a plain and simple Sci-Fi shooter is a positive thing in my book.

This actually looks really cool. I have never heard of Flying Wild Hog before, but the game looks promising, almost like a New Unreal Tournament.
Will definately look for this and more gameplay, especially with the promise of not even considering console mechanics and graphics limitation.

I guess you are not able to. One thing that I do not know, is why Blizzard doesn't make an option to keep a character single player only once authenticated with Battle.net. You could simply log-on using your phone's internet and sign in and then play on.

Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops are the best selling FPS in history. Why would they create a new engine for their main platforms(consoles) when there is no need for it?
Call of Duty is now a console franchise - you don't play Call of Duty for it's graphics, but for it's gameplay, so why bother with a new engine?

I believe most games should have a multiplayer. None of todays FPS has a single player worthy of replaying.
