Let me put it down in pieces for you, you are clearly off track.
A) Battlefield is a PC game. PC can both support the graphics and 64v64 players.
B) Consoles are not powerfull enough to both get good BF3 graphics and 32v32, so they cut down either of these to cater for the bad console systems.
C) As a Battlefield player since the original, there is plenty of difference between Battlefield and Bad Company. First, the setting is entirely wrong ...
If you compare MAG, KIllzone & Warhawk to Battlefield 3 console graphics, you will understand what im talking about.

I'm sorry, but no - I didn't play the Alpha. I am still waiting for more complete gameplay footage close to launch so that I can decide wether or not I should build a brand new PC for this game. Yes, I am that interested in a BF2 successor.
Unfortunately, for me - it seems that it currently is not what I expected and doesn't come close to being something alike BF2 but more like BC2.

Seems you are a very very frustrated Battlefield fanboy that cannot stand Modern Warfare outselling BF each year.
Battlefield 2 is nothing alike Call of Duty or Bad Company. The niche of fighting 32vs32 or 64v64 is eliminated on consoles due to the machines being so far behind PC systems that Battlefield 3 does not stand a chance versus Modern Warfare 3 which niche is city-combat on smaller maps with more intense action.
So many free to play MMO's and they are all equally bad.
I never linked friends to my achievements as I were not a statwhore. I enjoyed battlefield casually because it was an awesome game for its time.
I have this feeling that Battlefield 3 is way too inspired by Bad Company 2 and I would hate to let the game go because of this. I simply don't think BF:BC2 was a good game, neither did it sell very well and the active scene of the game peaks at perhaps 10k in a good weekend evening.
Modern Warfare atleast remain...

What DOTA2 wants is to create a balanced competitive title for people to enjoy in a competitive community. Key word is balance, League of Legends isn't balanced and every competitive LoL player agrees to that.
