Why digital foundry? Didn't they just release an article stating that cross gen games were a bad idea?
Normally, they are at least better than this. This is literally a non issue and is the way things have always been. Controllers evolve with their consoles.
I think the only console that supported the previous gen controllers was the Wii U. Every other console required different controllers, which is fine as controllers have evolved over time and the DualSense will be much better than the DualShock 4 before it.
I would love for there to be more Nintendo games on sale, but the "if GTA V can do it, so can anyone else" argument doesn't quite sit well with me.
For me, the main reason to buy either next gen console at launch is to play games (current gen or next gen) with no load times... if that's how it actually turns out. Very few next gen exclusive launch games interest me. I'm also debating on whether or not I want to wait for the slim versions of both consoles.
Remote play to your phone?
This is the problem with "journalists". Why did they feel the need to leave out the series X / PS5 from the title / description?
"If Microsoft has a presence on every OS out there and then requires you to sign in directly through Xbox Live App....is that not a monopoly!?!?!?"
@stuna, Isn't that exactly what Netflix does? Or spotify? Please tell me what the difference is. Would you call Netflix a monopoly? How about Spotfiy?
As far as I'm aware GeForce Now is a service and not a device. Someone can feel free to correct me though.
No? It's not a stretch to assume that the number of copies sitting on store shelves is less than the number of digital copies sold.
"only released on one generation of consoles."
... so far....
And I hear GTA V is hitting mobile phones next. ;)
Good for you. Some of us don't have the space for that many consoles. And for those of us that don't, one box that can play multiple generations is preferable.
I had no idea PS Now went down to $60 for a 12 month subscription. I remember when it was $15/month and noped out of there. $60 for a year is definitely reasonable, and now I may consider seeing what the library looks like.
The downvotes on this are outrageous. Lol. The idea, that the choice is Sony or no one is equally outrageous.
It's obvious that you are no fan of Xbox. Why are you among the first commenter on so many Xbox articles?
Nintendo definitely should be releasing more games. It doesn't make sense. How many games have been rumored to be almost complete, including some by Nintendo's own staff? (Looking at you, Pikmin 4) This is not the time to be holding back. People are at home, people want more games to play.
"You are naive. Of course it is, and we will find out how importend it is for Microsoft the day it happens, We will never hear end of it... as it was with 360 outselling ps3"
Obviously. If I won the lottery, I'd be super excited too. If I suddenly get promoted to CEO at my job, I'd be super excited then as well. But those are not reasonable goals for me. Of course, Microsoft would be super excited if they could outsell PS5. Just because something excites y...
Wants and goals are two very different things. I want to win the lottery. It is not my goal however. Goals are things you aim and can reasonably expect to achieve. The Xbox outselling PS5 is not one of those things.
A goal is something to aim to achieve. Outselling the PS5 isn't achievable, so they have to aim for something else.
@blackblades,
Nope! If the choice is ray tracing with 30 fps or no ray tracing with 60 fps. I'll take the 60 every time, unless we're talking about a turn based game.
