With the joy con's, they never left. They're just not as gimmicky as they were on the Wii.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Some good recent examples being Vampire Survivors and Celeste. I fully believe they deserve the scores they got despite outdated graphics. (Celeste is 92% metacritic and Vampire Survivors is 87%)
The whole purpose of games is to be fun lol. What are you even saying? If the fun isn't there, it doesn't matter how many frames or how many pixels are being rendered. Yes any game can be fun, but not every game is fun. And that's the whole point of the review system is to determine just how much fun is it. Not to determine how perfect it is.
We the non-silent users of the net have been dunking on Pokémon for awhile. Same with CoD. Doesn't stop them from selling to the masses or appealing to "journalists"
I may not be playing on the game boy, but I've recently been playing a lot of SNES, GBA, DOS, and xbox 360 games. Those are no less fun being at sub 4k.
Nintendo is the only of the big 3 whose entire business lies in making games.
Golden sun won't print money the way Pokémon will but I also would prefer golden sun.
I think that's where a lot of people are mistaken. A 10/10 game does not mean that its perfect. No game is perfect and never will be. It means that it's minor blemishes don't have a significant impact on the quality of the product.
And to be honest, graphics are the least important part of a game. Still important but the least important.
Are they not expecting the HD games to be profitable? Why would they need the mobile market to fund development?
You guys act like games with low res graphics can't be masterpieces. Some one could release a brilliant game for the Sega Genesis tomorrow, and if it's a masterpiece, then it's a masterpiece. Doesn't matter that it's in SD.
^ when did nintendo ever show off 60fps game play and pretended it was for the Nintendo?
Got a bit of ptsd there?
Never thought I'd see so much complaining about a free battle pass in an online multi-player game.
In my opinion, these are the reasons to go for the Asus instead of the Steam deck:
- You want higher resolution / fps and aren't concerned about reduced battery life
- You have PC Game pass
- You want to be able to play more games outside of Steam
And these are the reasons to go for the Steam deck
- Price matters
- You want a good user experience
- You want a touch pad to be able to reasonably play games that may re...
It wasn't only square. Also Capcom and Konami. And probably others, n64 was sorely lacking in certain genres, most notably Rpgs and fighting games which Ps1 had plenty of.
I pre ordered as well, but I'm probably going to cancel it. The poor user experience is probably going to annoy way too much. I'll get one down the line when Windows is running better. Maybe when they get that rumored mobile Windows OS figured out.
Hopefully they are earning a livable wage.
Wasn't Elden Ring last year? And they still weren't profitable?
Edit: Yes, they were profitable. They were just less profitable than the previous year.
At MSRP I agree, but last holiday season M$ was giving away Series S at 200$. With their recent price drop on storage, you can get more memory and the Series S for under 300$.
I'd still be okay with some traditional Zeldas. But deaths door scratches that itch pretty well.
