Who cares? I don't go into a store planning on buying the whole store. You can progress all the way to the end of the game without purchasing a single piece of cosmetic armor.
^ There is still the cost to produce. If they can't sell what they've produced at profit. That would count as failure.
And there's where indies come in. To fill the void left by these big publishers producing these AAA experiences. Indies continue to produce good one and done single player experiences that are very reminiscent of the simpler times.

What if I liked diablo 2 enough to finish it multiple times and didn't like Diablo 3 enough to finish it once.
^ It's time to take a break from n4g. Start with a week and see how you feel.
Square Enix going all in on these real time combat rpgs. Looks pretty good too.
So now all coop is bad? Lol yall crazy. Are you going to rejoice when coop is removed from the Tales games too? It's okay to have coop without it being gaas.
Lol. If Nintendo sets the prices then why aren't any indies 70$? The developers/publishers set the prices. Not Nintendo. Nintendo would certainly not be selling games for $1 like some of these indies are.
I know yall are disappointed about exclusives. But I don't care about exclusives. I care about games and I look forward to adding MGS collection, Diablo 4, Ff16, Spider man 2, Street Fighter 6, and Beat Saber to my collection (i.e. backlog) this year.
Alternatively, they can do like they did on the classic Nintendo and include some kind of toggle for the amount of gore.
I've heard a bunch of people complaining about the amount of gore. And tbh, I agree. The more realistic it gets, the more off-putting it gets. I'm sure some people prefer that, but not me.
Silly cartoony violence is one thing. This ain't the Sega genesis anymore.
I'm 100% sure you could have picked a better example than Skyrim.
People talk about wanting to support the devs, but the reality is that most of them actually don't want to support the devs. Or more accurately, they want other people to support the devs.
I agree his tone was offensive but an apples to oranges comparison doesn't make any sense. If we're talking about Brazil, we need to talk about Brazil.
Lol have you seriously never played Diablo? Diablo is not only an online multi-player game, but in Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 (not sure about 3 since I never played it), if you created a character to be used online, you had to login to battle.net servers even if you wanted to use that character in single player. If you created an offline character, that character could never be used online.
I don't normally buy games on day one but I might buy ff16 day one on principle. Even though it'll probably be months before I play it.
Diablo 4 is an online multi-player game. These really aren't comparable.
Lot of delusional people in these comments clearly.
