Solid numbers and good news if your an Activision supporter. I prefer the Call Of Duty series and don't like the Battlefield games very much, but I wont be an idiot like most and say Battlefield is a bad game or anything.
To each their own, I just prefer fast paced online shooters without vehicles.

Double Fine makes sense, I'd actually love to see them purchase Epic Games, which would probably cost a pretty penny. I was thrilled when they bought Twisted Pixel, I think they are going to make some incredible games for Microsoft.
Frontier makes sense, but I don't think there is a ton of heat for that studio at the moment.
Microsoft has never had a ton of first party exclusives, but they have scaled back more this past year because I feel like they are all looking and developing for the next Xbox already.
I've been in the beta for a while now and I think it's fantastic! If you have Kinect then your going to really love it, but even without Kinect it's still a vast improvement.
I love that Microsoft doesn't stand pat with what they offer, this is a much more streamlined interface and it's so bright and colorful and easy to look at and use. Same cant be said for the competition.

What large FPS game doesn't have issues when it launches? Battlefield 3 was unplayable, I cant think of a single one that was problem free. It's just because it has Call Of Duty in the title that fools like to give it a hard time.

I never saw what the fuss was with this game, but then again I hate PC and stupid little phone games, now that it's coming to a legit console I might give it a try.
Outselling a couple of bad games shouldn't be that hard.
Most of the Move games they release can also use the standard DS3 controller, so it seems tacked on. Sorcery and games like that are the reason I got one. You don't hear or see much about Move only games and it's a bit disappointing.
Oh stop with that BS, Microsoft went into this generation with a goal to beat Sony and they've done it. If this were a normal 5 year cycle it would have been over around a year ago.

I think it's just the Sony fans hoping the next Xbox doesn't ship next year. Think about it people, Microsoft has scaled back their first party games production, we only have Halo 4 confirmed for next year and they could easily make it a launch title for the 720 and also offer a 360 version, just like Nintendo did with Zelda Twilight Princess.

To me it's crazy to sink any time into a game you find boring. I found Oblivion The Elder Scrolls to be incredibly boring, so a few hours in I stopped playing.
You cant blame developers if you find something boring, mostly because everyone is different and has different tastes and likes.

Companies start to work on their next hardware as soon as the current hardware ships. So the next Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo consoles were already long in development.

I never thought the PS4 would be out next year anyway, Sony is sinking a ton of money into the Vita and still has a ton of first party games coming out next year. It seems more likely that we will see a Xbox 720 next year though, Microsoft has obviously scaled back production on first party games and we've heard too many rumors of games being in production for the next Xbox for their not to be fire.
These things are great if your into emulating classic games, I love all the different hacks and things you can do with the older models.
They painted themselves into a corner with MGS4 as far as I'm concerned, playing with a brittle, old man Snake just wasn't the right direction to take.
I think the game could be solid, making it multiplatform is a good step in the right direction IMHO, just hope they pull a "Who shot JR" from Dallas take with MGS5, maybe act like the last one was just a bad dream or something.
