I'm hoping it will have traditional team modes. I'm also sick of Battle Royale. I can play Battlefield, Cod, Halo,Gears, Killzone and know on my worst days playing with randos I have a 50 percent chance of winning. Playing Apex lately, just a bunch of sweaty pros even in silver ranks where just getting in the top 10 out of 20 in the match makes me feel like I accomplished something because my teammates are on the other side of the map or not trying to get inside the ring. A shame beca...
Even if AI makes a thousand fold improvement, there will still be subtle differences that are noticeable just like a movie that uses CGI in 99 % of the movie and one that uses minimal CGI and mostly practical sets. Compare a Tom Cruise movie to a Marvel movie, I enjoy Marvel movies but you can feel the difference if you pay attention.
There was a time when Spiderman wasn't a Sony property.
It's wrong for kids to laugh at another kid saying his grandma died from covid, it's also wrong to shutdown the universe and only have contact through the internet. The people who are either vulnerable or want to be locked down until every last person no longer is infected should do so. The people who want the freedom and want to show their faces should do so too, its sad to hear an elementary school kid talk about not seeing his classmates faces and not communicating clearly.
When you make a promise that split screen is going to be in the game years before the game releases and then make that same promise just a few months before release, you do what it takes to put it in. If they needed to cut back in certain areas, so be it, but the split screen should be priority over anything, if they wanted to make an open world spinoff with no co op, they could have done so at a different time and just say all traditional linear numbered titles have split screen and the fans...
Yeah, I do understand that Joe Staten is a guy that knows what made Halo special and unfortunately he only came in during the final year of development for Halo Infinite but if there is a guy that can make the next game better, it's him. I do understand that even tho the franchise had some duds, Marvel in the 90s had bottom of the barrel movies, like straight to dvd at best and were no where near the quality of it's rivals, and Disney also had a period where the movies weren't go...
The bad apples in charge of 343 also have had or are in management in Xbox as well. So basically it needs new management, keep Joe Staten in charge and hopefully it can return to the glory days. But that's not a guarantee, because not every Peter Jackson movie is near as good as the original LOTR trilogy, even the best have duds once in a while.
I think you confused employees with developers. They need all those employees to work the call center to answer feedback. It's been confirmed that they only hire temp contractors to work on the game and after 18 months, a new contractor comes in and starts over.
I haven't played Cyberpunk and I'm not involved in the gaming industry so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Sometimes it seems a game gets an extra year or two that it doesn't need and to justify the delay, they try adding more stuff to it. Now if it's really messed up and unplayable don't release it right away, if you want to fix minor things delay it a couple months, but a couple years can give them ideas to put into the game that might not fit the original pl...
Delays didn't help Halo infinite, Duke Nukem Forever or Cyberpunk. Sometimes delays benefit games, sometimes delays just give them an excuse to add more stuff that can break the game.
@ chubbyblade That just makes the 8 month contracts look even more illogical. They should have had employees stay the whole process and find a rhythm. That 6 years turned into 2 because the new guys weren't on the same page.
A team of 200 plus developers shouldn't rely on temp contract workers
Even if we are the majority, if enough rich people are willing to spend, even if they make up a .1% of the players, can make it seem more profitable. It's like how a crappy drawing on the internet that any 10th grader can do is somehow worth millions. It's why so many guys aren't in a relationship because the average girl sees onlyscam models that look like average girls make six figures or more a year and see no reason giving away their body for less.
It's like those stores at the mall that say 50% off this weekend only but then you go back a week later and it's still on sale. A lot of stuff have a price tag that will never sell at that price to give the person shopping that day that might only shop once a month, thinking they are getting a great deal. This is something similar, like "this is worth 45$ but if you buy right now it's 20$, you might not get this offer ever again so don't delay"
Which is a step in the right direction, even tho I'd hate to know what Xbox would be like if they didn't buy Bethesda.
This is why I hate when just a couple shareholders have all the power who probably don't care about the franchise and only sees numbers. Maybe the games weren't good, I'd just hate to see a great game not come out because the shareholders convinced the company to cancel because it wouldn't give them that 4th vacation home that they use 1 weekend a year. Just say that the game didn't have 20 Fisher skins that cost 10$ each
So if we are animals, should we do away with laws and just let murder, rape and pedophilia be a thing that is unpunishable, since that's what animals do.
That's why you put a bell on the cat that gives the birds an earlier heads up. And humans have done bad, but if you want to think about it, the amount of pollution the earth emits is vastly greater than what humans are capable of, the pessimism isn't going to help anyone thrive.
I don't know much about game development, but why can't these devs just stick to one plan and release it. Not every game has to be a home run, if it's an 8 or 9 that's fine. In fact that's preferred IMHO over whatever the gaming equivalent is to an oscarbait. Just give us something fun. Thankfully Microsoft bought Bethesda so they can have some exclusives in the near future.
Halo infinite was Halo 7, Halo 6 was when we defeated all those giant Transformer thingies and fighting evil Cortana and then we went back to earth and fought Cortanas mob and then we had a giant space battle where basically everyone died, it was the best game ever.
