I think it is fine, I like choices you make in game actually means something. It is not like it is trying to trick you, you clearly state you don't want to do it in the game, then it doesn't happens to you, which makes perfect sense.
What does the root of the companies have anything to with what is right or wrong?

Personally I can't wait for a live service games on some of the IPs, for example, Ghost's legend mode, it was awesome that it was free, I played at least 200 hours on it, but if it is a live service game then I would still be playing today because it would get the funding for additional content, which I don't mind paying because of how good that was.

I am starting to believe Xbox is cursed at this point... everything they touched slowly become shit, not saying it is their responsibility as I know they don't have involvement on some of these games, just crazy how they are almost impossible to put out a decent games as long as the publishers/studios are owned by them, unlucky I guess.
The problem is, you can have the perfect infrastructure for cloud and stuff, but can you upgrade everyone's routers? Can you help every single one of them to position their router for better signal? There are too many variables outside of MS control.
We will get there some days, but regardless of power, a great is great not because it has the power of the cloud, but because it is actually a fun and polished game.
I wish they can just believe in making good games with hard work.
If they keep their heads in the a$$, they will still fails even if they have the power of the cloud and the sun and everything in between.
Just put in honest work and actually make something the gamers want.

PS1 to PS5, every gen filled amazing exclusive games, their first party studios are stronger than ever, almost every games they put out are GOTY contenders, don't even know what this outrage is for.
Just finished FF16 couple of days ago, and Spiderman 2 next month, after that I will buy Baldur's Gate 3, and then go back to Jedi 2 and Deadspace Remake that's on my backlog if I have time, and will play Cyperpunk ...

I love video games so much that I never have the time to replay the old one that I have finished, my backlog has only gotten bigger and bigger. I don't get how some people can play one game for years (except for mmorpg)
