I play online a lot so not a choice for me in that sense, but either way, my subscription ends next Aug, so Sony has a year to show me why I should keep paying for the Extra tier. Premium in the other hand still don't give me enough reason to subscribe.
No one is accepting everything Sony gives us, PlayStation Portal is not that good, so many of us won't buy it, it is not like it will get 1:1 attach rate. I think Xbox Fanboys talking about "Fanboys accept anything" is a bit ironic.
The price hike is too much as well, I will see their next phase after Spiderman 2 to see if I will continue to subscribe to it. But so far I am getting my money worth, will re-evaluate when my subscription expire next Aug.
What a strange timing to release this news.
Few days before the competitor drops their biggest game, and on a month that they are offering weaker PS Plus games. And after Project Q getting some negative press for offering not enough functionalities (can't do premium streaming and can't use Bluetooth). Does the marketing team just roll a dice to decide on when to release what news?

The price is alright, but I just wish it can do a little more than remote play at home, and it really has to run smoother than remote play app on the phone as a dedicated device.
And what about open up some possibilities like you can use it as a controller and you can see the map on the screen when you are playing on the TV?
I need more from the Ghost's legend mode, too addicting but ran out of things to do after a few months, can't get enough of it.
I work on my computer all day so when I relax I actually prefer to stay away from it.
Don't need to think about 8k, until we get native.4k@60fps with ray tracing (if applicable) on every game, really no need to trace the resolution, I don't know anyone who has a 8k TV/monitor.

If you have decided to only play 3 games this year and complain there are not enough games, then I have nothing to say, it is not even a discussion that has any points to continue then. Enjoy or don't enjoy the rest of 2023, talk to you at a year where every games is an innovative masterpiece.
I see a lot of people complaining about releases, but personally I don't get it, I am having a lot of fun gaming and I can hardly keep up with all the games...
Finishing up FF16, then need to go back to Zelda TOTK (stopped because FF16 demo got me hooked to the story), after Zelda then need to finish up Jedi Survivor...
Haven't even started Dead Space Remake, and Helldivers 2 and Spiderman 2 are coming up soon.

The only difficulty is many people bought Series S because of the promise that they will get the same game as Series X, just lower graphic settings. If they do drop the parity, there could be a class action.
If it is just revised with no power advantage, then no need to announce now to hurt current console sales

These unrealistic hype will kill the game. It is not difficult to make a decent game, but it is not like you can just say "I want to make a masterpiece" and make one. I don't get how people can declare a game before it is released to be GOTY, when no one have even played it yet, no matter which studio it is from, including Sony's and Nintendo's.
I think they are holding back on announcements to counter the ABK acquisition when it happens but then that lasted forever.
They will likely announce a showcase as soon as Spiderman 2 is launched.
Moving out 2 is nice, enjoyed the first one with my son a lot.

Except it is not the same experience, they purposely make it harder to level so people would have incentive to get the boosters, is that a hard concept for you to understand?
It was a huge turn off when I see XP booster in single player games
Not an excuse though, if it is not clear how something work in a game, then the game is not doing its job properly. This is not an exploration adventure game where mysteries are everywhere, for a MP game like this, how each class works should be super clear.
Or they can throw money at it to stop it from releasing on PS5.
Depends on if those hundreds of hours are fun, as long as they are fun, I am ok to get "what the game is" a bit later.
