It is not only how they make games, but how they promote their games, how many people bought Triangle Strategy? Most of us don't even know what that is. I found out about it randomly and it was freaking amazing.
Their lesser titles need to be promoted, so people actually know about them.
At the end of the day, it is a freaking business, they want to make more money, not defeat Sony. Going third parties would also them to sell games to every PS owners, which is at least 150-200 millions machine out there combined. They are killing their franchise one by one by only releasing it on Xbox, which is also Day 1 on Gamepass, meaning they made Xbox gamers stop wanting to buy games.
Not sure what people expect from this, free to play with zero way to make money, if it is bad then just pretend it never existed.

It is very normal for studios to chase trend that makes a lot of money, when they were releasing normal games it was because of the money too. The biggest problem right now is they just copy and paste each others to make quick money, instead of being creative. That's why for me, I pay for creativities and fun factors, it is ok to be a GaaS game but show me why it should be one, how does it makes the game more fun for me.

It is not easy to convince everyone in the group to switch, easiest way for us was to pick something from the PS Plus free games first, so no one needs to pay extra first. After a few games, we now discuss and look forward to some new title here and there. Still trying to convince the last member in our group to buy Helldivers 2 lol.

I do gaming night with my friends every Friday night, really hope there is a good first party MP games for us to get addicted to. Next one we will try is Helldivers 2, co-op in the world of Horizon would be fun if the rumour is true as well.

I have nothing against them, I just in general prefer 3rd person games, maybe it feels more natural on a controller than FPS, will still try this game though, has potential.
Kinda pointless with quick resume now, I only see the dashboard when I switch games (takes less than 5 seconds), or when I am in the PSN store, which the theme doesn't affect anyways.
It is good to have options but why do people cares about what you see when you are not actually playing games so much? 90% I jump back to my games right away without seeing the OS, and how would custom themes work in the current OS at all? The game that you highlight became the theme, where the background and the music changes, it doesn't even make sense to have theme now, but some gamers decided to whine until PS6 comes out and never be happy with their PS5... so weird.
