In theory the sales would only go lower and lower, because you kinda need to play the first one first, then people who liked the game would play the next one, and then a smaller portion for the third.
That's my theory.
I don't even remember it has launched... the theme is just... not interesting. I see bright pink, I lost half of my interest instantly...
It all comes down to whether it is a good game and what is the reason behind it.
Honestly the industry is so filled with live service games that if it is a good single game I don't want to dismiss it right away, I appreciate developers that still try to build single player games.
I would say it is different, there are more IPs in SNES or even PS era because the graphic were more simple, right now, if you drop a frame you get shit at.
What I don't like right now is the amount of greedy games... for examples, I used to enjoy playing games on phone, angry bird, plants vs zombies, kingdom rush... now, 99% of the games are gambling.
But at the same time, there are still a lot to enjoy... Helldivers 2 is insane co-op fun, new God of...
Gameplay is the most important, but honestly, if the main character is just unattractive then it is very hard to enjoy it.
Stop spreading lies, exclusives are doomed and everyone needs to follow MS business model. /s
I tried the 5th one twice, both times stopped at around 5-6 hours, I really couldn't get myself to finish it, the control is very clunky in today's standard, the gameplay has not evolved at all...
@Obscure_Observer
You certainly have more faith in Xbox than Phil Spencer does, I will give you that.
I appreciate games bringing awareness to different issues... but most important is it is still fun to play, otherwise I can just watch a documentary... will see how well it does in that area.
Personally I almost never replay any games, there are simply way too many games I haven't played yet. But whether a game is new or old doesn't matter to me, as long as it is fun.
Don't worry, the same AI is also making the games now.
It also means the same amount of writers can now produce more dialogues with the same amount of budgets, game development doesn't have infinite budget, AI when used correctly, can help generate some dialogues, and then still need writers to have another pass through to make sure those make sense in the game world.
I don't see the conflict, it is not like those engineers can help make Uncharted 5 or something... If people don't see the need of PS5 Pro, then don't buy it.
For me, I don't see why not, if it makes games I play now can output more FPS and higher resolution, why wouldn't I want that?
Saying why PS5 Pro is happening is like saying why there are new graphic cards coming out.
You haven't played this game then, there are so many details on the games that make it more immersive.
Collected samples but failed to extract? You don't get the samples then.
Reloading your gun don't just reload the missing ammo, you reload the full clip instead, and whatever was left in your previous clip are gone.
Sentry has limited ammos, eagle airstrikes need time to re-arm, every equipments on the ground can be picked ...
RIP
So...
Monetization = more money for them
More efficient = more money for them
Their priority is very clear, nothing about making better games.
I don't get them, why even say it out, they think that would excite gamers?
They have already learned by pivoting from 12 Gaas back to single player focus... just chill, no need to worry it is the end of Sony every other day.
That's the problem... when giving examples, still can only mention Halo, Forza and Gears Of War... when most of them haven't even been good for years...
I see, so now you need it for an argument then FoamStars count, but when we say PS5 has exclusives then FF7 Rebirth doesn't count, you just rendered all your comments invalid. Think about what you said, if you still don't get it, think of it again.
